I've contacted EA support over 10 times about the Commendation pack I never received and they just don't do anything. Maybe some people can get them to cooperate, but I can't. My point is, not everyone on Xbox and PC got the packs anyway, some people didn't earn them, so they didn't get them. I guess I believe in fairness, and this isn't.Repojam wrote...

Sorry, I have nothing against PS3 users, it's the fact that some of us who actually took part in those events and achieved the parameters have yet to see our packs, but you guys get them just because Sony decided to be anti-social for a month. Not to mention, commendation packs were for personal goals met, not community goals, so who's to say everyone would have accomplished those goals. I would have had no problem with Victory Packs because those are based on community goals and everyone deserves them. Unfortunately for those who play Xbox and PC, we didn't automatically get these packs just by owning the game, we had to earn them.
"You guys?" I play on PC primarily. My manifest is easily available and shows that.
They weren't able to contribute to any community events. I know you think "Oh, but it's not fair!", but it also was unfair to them. If you haven't seen your packs, you should contact EA support if on PC, if on Xbox then I have no clue of how you can get your packs, perhaps a moderator. In situations where packs weren't received such as the last events, they were able to solve it quickly for PC users. For "those of us who had to earn their packs", it doesn't matter if PS3 receives them for free.
If you can speak for "those of us who had to earn them", I can just as well. I think it's silly to let a situation that will not hamper your play even one iota be such a strong sticking point. Are you upset that in the first rant you posted that it was edited by a moderator and made unavailable for everyone to see?
If anything, those getting the two free packs likely got terrible weapons out of the deal, if that makes you feel any better. I certainly will take any more help that they can provide for communty goals like the one we have coming up this weekend.
Reasons why you're kind of losing interest in MP

Untrue, and that's also something BW should have considered well before MP roll out (on both sides of the equation)

As a not MP person in any other game how many ways can you switch this up? It just doesn't seem like there's much you can do to me as an outsider. You kill things, you hold ground, you take ground. What are some of the other modes they could add to spice things up?
Easily. I see no reason to sit here and write paragraphs because BW isn't going to do it anyway. But look at other Co-Op games out there, and you will see many different types of gameplay.

The handouts to the PS3 players was a good gesture to make. After all we had no chance in the previous operations....but then again that doesn't have any effect what so ever on fixing glitches, adding new modes, etc.

Was it fair for them to be excluded from the events? That doesn't sound very fair to me.

If you want. The big difference in that argument is that cheating and glitching is against the EULA, whereas the packs for the PS3 users were given by the developers. I hardly consider those two in any sort of the same category.

Ahaha, like it was hard to 'earn' any of those? I even tried to do one of the first events and found out later it wasn't available on PS3. Give me a break. You make it sound like it was a chore to do an event, when they're supposed to be fun activities that also win you prizes. PS3 players didn't even get the fun of trying to accomplish a goal, and reduced access to rewards. If you could have the choice of not getting the events but two free packs, or getting to do all the events, which would it be?

Why? I have an N7 of 270 and constantly finish first on Gold. I've seen quite a few 1000+ that played like crap. Unlike those people I don't constantly change my mind on how my character should be spec'd.

Well I just bought DA:O on PSN, will probably give that a go when it is finished downloading (tomorrow) and getting Dragons Dogma on the 25th.
However this is still the only MP game I have actually been playing for a good couple of months. With the other games I mentioned they are both SP.
So it is still split.
As long as BW keep making content and saying they are I will keep playing and buying the odd pack.
Is this your first time playing DA:O? I am so jealous if so. That is such an amazing game, I hope you fall in love with it like I did.
Yes, I just was browsing the wiki, like the Dalish set, want to be an elf, but also a 2h warrior, trying to work out if it i viable or if I would die alot
We're going OT but it's DA:O so whatevs.
Elves get racial stat bonuses in magic and willpower, so if you're going to be a warrior elf you might consider choosing the Templar specialization, which synergizes well with those boosts (though obviously not as well as being a mage, lol). Templar should be one of the first ones you get, too, unless you ****** off Alistair.
Regarding two-handed warriors, they are really high risk, high reward characters. You don't have a shield, so you're highly exposed, and you will usually be drawing more aggro than any other character, unless you have Alistair or Sten in your party. Two-handed warriors tend to be weaker in the beginning of the game when you don't have a very efficient healer and can't equip the better armor so you'll have a bit of a challenge early on. Their attacks also come out reeeeeeeaaally slowly if you're used to some of the more crack-driven sword RPGs, lol.
Pommel Strike is one of the most useful abilities in the game, though. You'll find it's your bread and butter as a two-hander.

Repetitive and limited game modes and enemies.
Yup, that's my reason too. IMO, taking some of the linear campaign maps and putting them into multiplayer as point A to B maps would be a tremendous start to fixing things. At it's core, L4D was like that and felt a lot deeper than ME3 MP.

You can't go wrong with mages either. There's a reason why some people call that game Dragon Mage. Just go with arcane an you're good to go.

No, they were too lazy to do a PS3-only event during the "free" weekends and decided to give away stuff others had to earn.

PvP tends to last longer than this sort of thing as the competitive aspect keeps people coming back. As long as they release new DLC every so often I think I'll keep playing for a while longer (especially if it's free).
