So I bought a new copy of Mass Effect 2 on March, 5th 2012, and the code is said to have expired on January 1st, 2012. I tried to phone EA with the number they had written and it no longer says a Mass Effect 2 help line, and directs me to Help.EA.com is there some way I can get a new code or get it to work?
Cerberus Network Code has Expired, Help Please?

Yes there is. Do as they suggest and go to help.ea.com. Somewhere on there (apparently it's been known to move around) is a link to support via live chat. It was on a Contact Us button when I had exactly the same problem as you with a PC version of ME2 back in February. Might not be in the same place anymore as they've probably changed things since ME3 launched, but they're the people to speak to. They were pretty quick for me and I guess it's just resetting something because after a few mins at the outside they told me to try the same code again, and it worked.

Thanks! But I'm trying to find this livechat thing, and I'm having trouble. It's so hard to find stuff on help.ea.com

Yeah, I heard it got moved. Can't suggest anything other than keep looking and maybe fire off an email to them in the meantime. At the end of the day only they can help with this kind of thing.

Who said anything about paying more? But you will need to contact EA support. help.ea.comJonathan_Hostin wrote...

Have you tried to simply use the code and see if it works? I bought ME2 for my brother, and even though the code expired it still accepted it and allowed him to get the cerberus network along with everything included.

Thanks for all the help guys! And for Jonathan, I found something someone else posted that might help, here's what that person said just copy/pasted:
"First of all, check the region of the game by looking at the number inside the globe on the case.
1 - United States, Canada, Bermuda, U.S. territories
2 - Europe (except Russia, Ukraine, and Belarus), Middle East, Egypt, Japan, South Africa, Swaziland, Lesotho, Greenland
3 - Southeast Asia, South Korea, Republic of China (Taiwan), Hong Kong, Macau
4 - Mexico, Central America, South America, Australia, New Zealand, Oceania
5 - India, Afghanistan, Ukraine, Belarus, Russia, Africa (except Egypt, South Africa, Swaziland, and Lesotho), Central and
South Asia, Mongolia, North Korea
6 - People's Republic of China, Hong Kong
Then, create a new PSN Account with the same region as the disc you bought.
Here is the steps to create a new PlayStation Network account.
1. Press the PS button the controller to enter the PlayStation 3 XBM (XrossMediaBar).
2. Select the Users tab.
3. Select Create a New User Account and press the X button.
4. Enter a name for the account and login to the new user account.
5. Select the Friends tab.
6. Select Sign up for PlayStation Network and press the X button.
Note: When creating the new PlayStation Network account, please use a different, valid and accessible e-mail address.
Login to the new account and redeem the access code. It will work this time and allow you to download and install the online access file from the PSN Store.
After it is installed you can now use your normal account from your region to play the game online.
Hope this will be resolved your issue."
