I believe done people discussed the possibility earlier on. Some people dismissed it, other worked on it. Then a small minority started being super obnoxious about it, a few others took great offense, and thus the biggest fan schism since 'Is Anders a terrorist or a freedom fighter' started.

Whoever it was has started a new wave of 'true fanism' where only one theory is right and everyone who doesn't subscribe to it is not a true fan of mass effect.

Not a good way for a fandom to act in my opinion, especially with the rise of the 'didn't pick destroy? must not have played the other games' crowd cropping up in the story and campaign section of the forums.

Ranted enough, I'll take my leave now, also lordofdogtown19 probably got it right.

you mean the pro enders who say that people are idoits for thinking the IT is real, and that Separd desrves better fans

Yes. proender jackasses and the antiender jerks. and the bioware denouncers. and the bioware apologist.

Everyone's gotten so mad that they're at eachothers throats 24/7, and the indoc theory seems to be both ground 0 and the largest example of it.

I just want to know the first person who ever made mention of Indoctrination as the explanation for the ending.

Whether there were hints of it in the game, is not important.

Whether there were hints of it in the game does matter, because the person wouldn't have come up with the theory without those hints.....maybe you should go to the huge Indoc Theory thread created by "byne", and seek the answer to your question there

There can only be hints in the game, if the theory actually is true. If it's not, then there are no hints, simply a bunch of deluded people upset with the endings, shooting at ghosts.

That's why I want to know who was the first person to say "Indoctrination did it".

Why would you be curious about who made it? In what way would this knowledge affect your life in any meaningful way?

You asking me about the meaning of my question on an Internet forum, while you post on an Internet forum? That's very confusing.

One example is my genocide thread. It really was a joke, then it got serious. Fast.

Congratulate the dude who put indoctrination theory on the map by doing a really well done explanation of it on youtube. ACAVYOS

Many an article or video used ACAVYOS work as a major reference.

There's really no one willing to search the bowels of the Internet for hours on end for no tangible reward or reason for little more than the thrill of finding a name, all in exchange for a verbal pat on the back?

I'm disappointed.

I vaguely remember reading something about Shepard possibly getting indoctrinated back in the me2 heyday.
