I've been trying to figure out a good character build that can do melee & magic and maybe involved a couple good prestige classes.

I've been playing around with Cleric only lvl 5 was going for a Warpriest/Divine Champion but read online its kinda meh but then i remembered in NWN playing a Sorc or  Bard/RDD/AA and also read on the EK class would this type of build be good at all in NWN2 ? 

I was getting used to divine casting because armor doesn't make my magic fail but i do wanna have something i can get away with casting/melee and wear medium/heavy armor.

Depending on what you want to do, cleric, EK, or bard (and maybe favored soul, depends) are all good options. Do you want just buffs, or also offensive spells?

Whatever you play, you want to maximize your caster level.

Divine casters are nice for their heavy armor ability without casting penalty.  If you take fire and ice as your domains as a cleric you get fireball and ice storm as nice additional offensive spells.

Ice is from Kaedrin's IIRC, but Water gives Ice Storm as well.

You'll like Kaedrin's class Pack for Holy Warrior and Intuitive Strike if you want to play a caster cleric and melee. A pure cleric or cleric/stormlord will work well.

Kaedrin also has some stuff for Druids, new spells and better shapeshifting.

And more, a lot more.

And with classes like Swiftblade (for Magic-Users) making a Melee Mage type build can be a lot of fun. Buffs, some battlefield control spells, and a little from the offensive spells will go a long way.
