If we're going to have lore debates, can we also debate how the objectives don't make sense, and why we keep having battles in the same 8 locations, and how we never see the Reapers, Geth, and Cerberus at the same time?

Statistically if we're having to defend the same spot over and over again, we should at some point see a combination of them, and seeing as Cerberus is the only group not being controlled by large cuttle-fish robots, if ever they're involved it should turn into a 3-4 way battle royal.

They are hilarious. I hope they say silly things like "We Leave!" when they die.

For some reason I have this image stuck in my head of a Vorcha yelling "WE LEAVE", exploding their fists into jazz hands like some sort of demented little cheerleader, and shuffling off the battlefield. I can't thank you enough.

Considering we've only seen Vorcha gangs, we have no idea what Vorcha culture or society is like. I wouldn't want the world to think the US was all Hell's Angels or Latin Disciples.

Wow, people get pissy about lore and don't even bother to actually read or pay attention. OP seems to have skipped the part of the Codex where Vorcha actually tougher and smarter when then get the s*** kicked out of them (and managed to live). They're like the Saiyans of Mass Effect. Credit to TeamFourStar for hilarious rewriting.

I want a Super Vorcha... I will color him mostly yellow with orangish armor, if its close enough to a gi. Now I need to get working on MasakoX Goku soundboard to plugin through the voice chat.

The Elcor are fighting too the only difference is I'd actually think they'd be useful (however wouldn't work well since they can't hold a gun in mp)

"No species can remain neutral during the Reaper conflict. Allied forces are recruiting anyone, soldier or mercenary, smart, fast, and tough enough to survive galactic war. The most experienced operatives form squads to secure objectives, evacuate civilians, and battle Cerberus or the Reapers deep in enemy territory. Initially led by N7 Alliance marines, these squads have been nicknamed the N7 Special Ops. In light of these teams' exemplary service and remarkable bravery, the Alliance has allowed this unofficial name to spread across the ranks as a sign of respect for their efforts. "

Wait? Elcor make more sense as Mass Effect Saiyans? I'm... not quite following there. ;)

If you mean they make more sense as ground fighters, yes and no. Part of the problem (outside purely techincal game issue) is that they are tanks. Habitually they are slow moving, large targets, and quite massive. This actually makes them worse then tanks as tanks can be fairly quick when they are actually on the move. You also have "lore" issues of trying to help one up after it falls over, they are not exactly low mass. True you could use "space magic" mass effect fields to give them a de-tipping field (elcor tipping, like cow tipping only with more monotone condemations). Also deploying elcor is problematic, again due to just size alone they take up most of a shuttle's volume. I don't want to even think about a battle-kitted elcor. This means committing two or three times the number of transports just to get a team including a elcor onto the ground. Then there is extraction, although if the elcor heavy weapons platform has done it's job there really shouldn't be any opposition left in the area.

If we want to talk about getting Elcor into the MP multi-player I think the best use would be in a new game-mode were you have to escort the Elcor. This makes it a variant on the VIP escort missions, only this time it's a boss mobile weapons platfrom that actually fires back and provides some close/super-long fire support to its escorts. This would force a squad to make choices as to what threats they need to leave the cover of the Elcor to deal with before the enemy overwhelms it.

Say give it a "close" fire range of the minium of most Trooper units, but can't effectively deal with melee if it gets swarmed. Then give it an extream range attack against anything in a 30° (maybe 15) cone directly infront of its travel path.

While moving from one "objective" point to another it doesn't adjust it's forward aim off the tarvel path, so anything in front dies dead. A few enemies in close get mauled and softened up. Anything else the squad has to deal with driectly.

N7 Spec Ops is not officially part of N7. They just let them use the name because they have bigger fish to fry (kilometer-long robo-cuttlefish, to be specific).

So much this.  If you're going to rage about lore, at least get your facts straight.

Correction: she had sex with a VARREN (the dog like creatures on tuchunca) or at least that is what was implied by Mordin's comments. BEASTIALITY!:?
