all the romances in-game made in origins doesn't import I don't understand why that is. but that should be something to think about for the next "project"

I have a ps3 so I can't use any mods but I dont think its fair not to add this in-game. its so annoying:o

Mind you, the Warden from Origins isn't in DA II either. And the characters in DA II (except possibly Anders, who was in the expansion 'Awakening') probably doesn't really care about The Warden's romances. I'm getting a tad bored with the 'Rise from Humble Beginnings' plot though, as I would have liked to import my Warden into DA2. Level 31 or 32 at the end of Awakening with the whole 'Ranger' talent/archery tree completed. I hope in DA3 or somthing maby you import both and then Hawke and the Warden (slighty modded for those who dies at the Arch Demon, i died once, survived the other time on a Dwarf 2hander and an Elf Archer) have to team up or somthing to repair the balance between the Chantry and the Circle. Maby what ever side you side with in DA2 is you're prime team, and the Warden sides with the other and you have to fight him in the end :o that would be quite awesome.

Yeah that annoyed me too. I imported my Mage Warden/Alistair romance that kept them both as Wardens and when Hawke finally meets Alistair sometimes he refers to my Warden as if she's died and other times he refers to her as a friend.

I've seen on YouTube that he's supposed to say "This belongs to the love of my life, but I think she'd want you to have it, she's always finding things like this on her travels" - Or something like that.

Is it just on the PS3? Because my PC and 360 never pulled this stunt on me. I'd be pretty mad.

Probably part of the problem is that the more choices the game gives you the more difficult it is to ensure that choice will have an impact, or even a reference in subequent games.

It plays up on my 360, which sucks.

I have it both on 360 and PC. On PC there hasn't been any trouble like that for me. DAO is also much better on PC anyways.

Really? Hm, maybe it has something to do with the choice I pick after killing the archdemon, when you can decide what your Warden does with her time (like go travelling etc.) I'll have to test things out.

Well it depends, if you import directly from DAO you should be fine, but if you import fro DAA or any of the DLC they might not flag, although I belive that this has been fixed in the latest patch. I'd have to replay DA2 to find out though.

I imported the recent one from DA:O to see if that would make a difference but I still had Warden Alistair refering to my Warden as a friend. However, at the end of DA:O I choose to go travelling and both Zev and Alistair opted to come with me, so maybe that choice some how glitches the game? I'll redo the end of DA:O and have her stay with the Wardens and see if that makes a difference next time round.

... I'd just hate for it to affect DA3 if Alistair shows up again in a cameo, it would completely mess up the way I was trying to play the game.

If you have a decent PC, I would just get the ultimateDAO and DA2 for PC(they go for around $30).
Then apply the mod found here
In DA3 they hopefully will let you import from DAO and DA2 so you can avoid the inconsistencies, or they just fix things like they did with Conrad Verner in ME3. So it might be unnecessary to buy the game again.

My pc is a heap of crap so I wouldn't be able to play any game on it. Eventually I'll get a decent one and buy DA:O/DA2 for it and mod the balls off it!

Well assuming you don't run the games with as detailed graphics as possible, you should be able to run them on a decent $600 desktop with little to no trouble. Or you could always build your own, or have one built by a local computer store if you feel intimidated by the task, you might spend a little more than retail but you will get a FAR superior product for the price. Just avoid that alienware or Dell crap, you don't get sh!t for the price you pay.

That's an idea, I guess I'll sort that out next time I've got some free cash handy. I've just moved out so things are a little tight currently what with all the boring house stuff I had to buy. Always fun lol.

Btw, what are the mods like for DA2? Is it mostly just armor mods and character swapping?

Know what you mean, just moved into my new apartment, looking for a couch sucks.

There is a huge amount of mods. You have appearance mods, you have mods to make all talent trees available, you have mods to fix problems, I believe there are also balancing mods to make gameplay more consistent(lower Heal cooldowns, but longer offensive spell cooldowns for example)

There is quite a bit for DAO as well, but I thought DAO was already close to perfect so..... I wouldn't really recommend any, except a respec if you can find one.

Tell me about it! My couch hasnt even arrived yet!

I've seen a few DA:O mods that enhance the game, like Alistairs nightmare mod where he dreams about Duncan dying and one where you LI runs to you and holds you as you die if you didn't do the dark ritual and your Warden slays the Arch demon. I've seen some awesome mods for the character creator that gives you more appearance options etc.

I heard there's a mod for DA2 that makes all the environments look more like DA:O colour scheme wise and ones that change the appearance of Hawke and Fenris' mansions.

Yeah the one for the DA2 environments is amazing, if only there was a good one to fix the darkspawn.

I've seen the enhancements too, they look good, but I enjoyed DAO enough on its own. Although the appearance mods are great, Sten looks great with a goatee, Leliana is good with longer hair. Alistair and Morrigan are perfect the way they are though.

Yeah I wouldn't change Alistair or Morrigan. Do you have any screenshots of the DA2 environment mod, I'm curious.

Not on Hand, there was a thread that had them though, something about the new artstyle, it should still be going on.

Yeah, the saves and imports have been problematic.  Hopefully they'll just let you set your decisions from DAO/DA2 in DA3, at least in cases where the flags are known to be bugged/misread/etc.
