Why does hardly anyone read the thread before posting?

He wasn't glitching, there was a bug in the store which gave him infinite credits.
He spent his 100k on a spectre pack, the game still showed 100k.
He did it again, same thing.
So he kept spending until everything was maxed.

IMO someone who actively glitches or mods a file for personal gain could possibly deserve some of this ire, but a guy who was just tempted by an error on Bioware and EA's part definitely doesn't deserve all this high and mighty hate.

IMO, if this is true, then Bioware should revert the ban and wipe the guy's profile, That would be punishment enough for this particular incident.

"Wiping my profile"? That wouldnt be a "punishment", that will be act of mercy and kindness for me.

10 bucks is the price of the act of mercy and kindness you're asking for.

All he did was take advatnage of an infinite credit glitch at the store. This wasn't something he planned, or set-up, he's human and was tempted, what he did didn't disrupt anyone's game or cause anyone else upset.

If this person was never going to spend money on points (I know for a fact I never will), then I see no reason to call it theft either.

I'm not saying he shouldn't be punished, but a profiel wipe would be more in line with his crime, imo. People who activley hack the game deserve a ban, but someone tempted by an erro on BIoware and EAs end (especially if a first time offence) should be dealt with a little more leniantly.

Okay, so someone who is tempted by a one-off glitch thy stumble upon should be treated the same as somone who actively hacks the game with pre-meditated intent for personal gain?

I'm not saying he shouldn't be punihsed.

You are making like I was a first one who used that kind of things.

I dont believe and I will never believed, you or anyone done something what they regret at the end! This isn't meant as a offense.

Not that I think it's necessary to ban cheaters in a co-op multiplayer game, but I have no sympathy if and when cheaters are banned.

I wish developers with competitive MP games would drop the ban hammer as fast as Bioware seems to.

Cheating is wrong but I cant help feeling sorry for you. You glitched to get credits to unlock weapons already on the disc.

Its not right but neither is the stupid microtransaction unlock system. How many times have you felt cheated when getting multiple character cards you already have?

Again Ill stress that cheating is bad and not the way but I think you shoudnt be banned and just have your manifest reset and credits put back to zero.

Whats wrong with you? If some admitting what bad he done (even after BAN) whats wrong on that?

And about trusting, I have a motto, "If you burn yourself one time, don't try to burn yourself second time!".

So in my opinion it really stupid thinking about "cheating again" when I was banned, its like I was criminal and have my prints/pictures in police database and go rob some bank without mask and gloves (and touch everything)!

Stop posting.  You keep digging yourself into a hole.  I'm giving good advice here.  If you want to be unbanned, stop posting.  You're making a fool out of yourself.  You've said numerous times you don't think you did anything wrong.  You don't think what you did affected anyone in a negative way.  The ONLY reason you wouldn't cheat again is because they banned you and you don't like being banned.

If a criminal came before his parole officer and said, yeah, I don't think I did anything wrong, but gee, I really hated jail.  So don't worry, I won't be doing anything wrong again... what do you think would happen?

EA can't unban you.  There's this thing.  It's called incentives.  Look it up.  If EA unbanned you, after you stupidly made your case so publicly, and like boss came here to thank them for unbanning you (which evidence suggests you will do), they just took away any incentive to not cheat.  Anyone like you, without a value system or understanding of ethics, would then be able to cheat without fear.  If there's like a 10% chance of getting caught (which seems like a high estimate... EA is really slow), and getting got only gets you banned for a week before you get unbanned by complaining hard enough... there would be no real incentive not to cheat.  The reward would far outweigh the risk.

And again, you brought this on yourself.  You cheated, then reported a glitch that you had exploited.  Not only should you be perma banned, but you should have to spend the rest of your life in a dunce cap.  If there were the equivalent of a Darwin award for gaming, you'd be a the top of the list.

Let me ask you something:

If he had zero intent of ever spending real money in the store, then how did his actions negatively affect anyone else?

Wow, you didn't even try to hide the cheaterdome. I'm not sure they should unban you. The $10 it would cost to get a new pass seems like a good punishment, and it would help diswade you from cheating again.

Cool, you judge me like I murder a several people...
I think there is something more in why you have something againts me, but... never mind.

Once and for all, for YOU:

1. I regret what have I done.
2. I never say "I dont do anything wrong", I admit what have I done and shame is on my head.
3. You say "The ONLY reason you wouldn't cheat again is because they banned you and you don't like being banned.", yes thats true, who likes being banned? No one!
But, yes I hate cheats/cheaters too, but I just couldnt say "No!" to this opportunity.
4. Yes, if I was unbanned (what I think is impossible) I will come here and write a little long post and say thanks or just send a message to BW e-mail. Its a act of gratitude! If you ever heard that word.
5. You dont must believe me (even I would hard to believe you if you was that who "cheat") but, you can trust me, after this I have no intend to "cheats" or use "glitchs".

Read my other posts.  He personally didn't affect anyone in a meaningful way.  People like him, as a group, do.

And I agree, that given what he actually did, EA should have just wiped his profile and said don't do it again.  But given how he's decided to handle it, I really think he should just be permabanned.  EA can't afford to make it public cheaters who get caught and banned will get unbanned if they complain hard enough.  The whole point of banning cheaters is to deter them.

It's maybe because it is something incredible here if someone really regret what he done!

But, in my opinion I am not that one who should write something like this comment.

People like him?

The only people who have some kind of actual negative impact are those who modify the game files or glitch while a game is in play and cause other player's games to be disrupted or changed without their consent.

All he did was take advantage of a store glitch. This is not the same thing.

You absolutely cannot say someone who was tempted by a store error like this is the same as a person who plans to and then hacks a game on purpose.

Or maybe it's because people are sick of cheaters like you refusing to admit they should be punished for what they did wrong.

What you did wasn't that bad at all.  It's not comparable to murder at all.  My analogy wasn't meant to compare you to a murderer, it was meant to explain to you why EA can't unban you.  You've openly admitted you don't think what you did was wrong, other than the fact, it got you banned.

1. I regret what have I done.

False.  You regret getting banned.  There is a difference.

2. I never say "I dont do anything wrong", I admit what have I done and shame is on my head.

False.  You've only admited it was wrong in that it got you banned.  You see nothing wrong with using credits you didn't earn.

3. You say "The ONLY reason you wouldn't cheat again is because they banned you and you don't like being banned.", yes thats true, who likes being banned? No one!

This really addresses the lies of your first two points better than my responses did.  It also makes me think you're either a 9 year old, or trolling.

But, yes I hate cheats/cheaters too, but I just couldnt say "No!" to this opportunity.

Guess we're going with 9 year old.

4. Yes, if I was unbanned (what I think is impossible) I will come here and write a little long post and say thanks or just send a message to BW e-mail. Its a act of gratitude! If you ever heard that word.

You really better hope EA has no means to tie this account to your Origin account, and no desire to read this.  Again, I'd consider taking my advice.  You're only digging yourself deeper.  Look up "deterent."

5. You dont must believe me (even I would hard to believe you if you was that who "cheat") but, you can trust me, after this I have no intend to "cheats" or use "glitchs".

Then again, maybe a troll.

Trolls

Anyways a month ago I had the same glitch, I bought a Specter Pack, got the Items and still had the money, at first I was like wtf... so I tried again and the same happened and did so a third time, by then I had noticed that my N7 had raised 2 points due to a exp card (meaning I was keeping the stuff I thought I wasn't getting), so I closed the store logged out and restarted origin, I know I did the right thing, but i can understand the temptation of this glitch.
