Caught in the moment...for four hours?

Erm, yes.

The moment lasted that long obviously because of the rush the guy was probably feeling that was inevitably overiding all common sense.

Excitment can easily override this way, you act as if you've neve had or known anyone else to have human experiences before...

Again, I'm not justifying the "crime".

There's a reason that crimes of passion and premeditated crimes are seperated in court, you know? And why one carries more leniant punihsment than the other.

You absolutely are justifying the crime.

Granted I am no lawyer, nor an expert on case history, but any incident that occurs over the course of four hours can hardly be defended as a crime of passion. Those are usually momentary fits of irrational behavior that are quickly over and done with.

Guy catches his wife in bed with the neighbor, he snaps and shoots someone. Someone physically assaults your kid, and you pummel them. Etc. etc.

There was ample opportunity over the course of 4 hours of non-stop repetitive behavior for this player to have realized he was exploiting a glitch and the store was definitely not working as intended.

Over four hours? I'd call that a bit more than just a "bad call". <_<

lol if i am playing a bronze match trying to level up my new character and some cheater steps in with a maxed out weapons and resources then yes he takes away from my xp. I see he has bf3, if cheats at this game then he has cheated at others, including bf3 mulitplayer. Folks spend real money to try and get some of the weapons that he Cheated to get, aka stole from the store.

I play BF 3 and I have 11 lvl and some weapons. And using cheats in BF 3? O_o
Are you really serious?

Yes, I used this glitch! But really opened cheatting with some aimbot or rewriting data...?

You accuse me from things I have never done! And I never could do them!

"It was glitched and I spend maybe more than 4 hours only buying spectra packs.
Maybe I can say I buy more than 500-1000 Spectra packs to get all weapons! And it wasnt "small run" and spend on it several hours."

So if I am to understand correctly, you bought anywhere from 500-1000 spectre packs, which if they are the same price everywhere cost $2.00 correct? So I'm assuming the way bioware see's it, that's about $1000-$2000 in services stolen from them. Maybe in the long wrong it didn't "hurt" other players, but it sure hurt them company.

You could always try suing. I'm in IT at a law school, there's a lot of debate over how enforceable end user license agreements are in a court of law, especially when you can't read and determine if you agree prior to sale.
It will probably cost you thousands of dollars with no guarantee of winning; but, we could finally settle the debates on EULAs.

Na, I'm not.

Feel free to keep typing that if it makes you feel your point is re-enforced by the idea.

I've said my piece: OP desereves to be punished but some of the rsponses here are simply ridiculous.

Have fun!

Glitch exploiting IS cheating. In lots of other games, players who exploit glitches are banned/have their accounts wiped. ME3 is no different to any other game.

While I agree that a permaban is a bit excessive in this case, the OP is still at fault for exploiting the glitch.

I'm amazed that people think that being caught in the moment by a temptation is the same as premeditated hacking.

The only people I have no respect in relation to all of this are:
1. Cheaters who premeditate hacks/exploits that actively disrupt the experience of other's and enjoy it.
2. People who make a stupid mistake and then go on to make that mistake again, knowing full well how careless they were the first time.
3. People on moral high horses with an inflated sense of self importance.

-

BTW - I do not agree with all the nonsense the OP is writing, please don't mistake my repsonses here for absolute support of his/her every word.

the only moral question here is was what this guy did right or wrong.

Ok, so for whatever reason, you executed a glitch that circumvents
game progression limits (credits/bioware points). It's rather fortunate
that your favorite weapons are MattokX and MantisX. Both excellent
weapons (though personally, of those 2, I prefer that MantisX).

Lets all assume lesson learned. Just buy another game. You'll have
MattokX and MantisX in no time at all. You'll lose a very few legitimately
leveled weapons from your credit glitch account, and a ton of other
weapons that you mostly don't care about. Seems balanced to me.

Point is you can still play. Bioware garners income from your purchase
of another game, you get to level weapons, and you get the opportunity
to continue playing a really great coop multiplayer game.

Out the record...

And whos interested what I have in my inventory. I dont like 99% of guns what I get using this "glitch". My love is Mattock and Mantis and I never change them for Javelin X or BW X.

I use it because it was big tempt, have all thats guns. But really, no one trust me, but still I never used them. No weapons, character or supplies was used/shoot after that glitch. And you can think I lie, but I know I dont. And no, I am not a troll or kid or anything else.

I don´t think you are kid or troll and I was speaking in general, maybe you didn´t use it, but you still could, if you wanted. That other post about televisions was exactly my point, if you steal them but don´t use them, It is not any better.
It´s nothing personal really, and I think they should let you play, just without any weapons unlocked, because I don´t think you would do that again. But since it is puclic, it might give others some ideas Image IPB

Is there a specific reason you're going out of your way to defend this guy?  He's made it pretty clear his only regret is that he got banned.  You're making yourself look like an idiot by continually jumping to his defense after he says the most asinine things imaginable.

As I previously stated, he should get permabanned for his pure stupidity.  He spent 4 hours buying packs until everything was maxed.  Then, immediately after, he told EA he was allowed to buy infinite packs for 4 hours.  Then, they banned him, and he came here to tell us all his sad story.  Then, despite my advice, he promised that if EA unbanned him, he would write another post here, publicly thanking them.  I mean, the sheer madness of it all suggests he's either 9 years old, or made this thread just to troll.  Abandon ship, dude.

Really? The excuse is you should take advantage of all situations in life?

So when you're in line at the store, that wallet the lady put down on the counter while digging for a receipt is fair game?

Sometimes, I'm glad I don't know internet people in real life.

You're being resonable rather than issueing blanket judgements as some people on here are. At least the crowd are having fun with their torches and pitchforks.

What about the guy in bed with his wife? There's something that could be said to be able to get cought in the moment for quite a while. The moment itself can be quite pleasant you know. And it's not that different from this situation. (Not saying it makes it right tho mind you)

To the OP: I'm glad you got banned I hope they make more examples out of cheaters like you. You knew what you were doing was cheating but you did it anyways, The only thing you regret is getting caught.

now if you excuse me I'm going to go play MP and smile while thinking of your ban.

Of course it would.  If you had said: "I regret stealing credits.  It was wrong, to do so, and it was right for EA to punish me.  I don't know what I was thinking.  I apologize for giving gamers a bad name, and encouraging companies like EA to treat all customers like criminals," or something of that nature, I would have believed you.  You didn't.  You've said numerous times in numerous different ways you don't think what you did was wrong in and of itself.  You think it was wrong because it got you banned.  Your inability to distinguish the two sentiments is somewhat depressing.
