Most of the times when I play an RPG, I almost never change any of the characters names. Except for dogs. I did it in FF7, and Disgaea. When it came time to name my dog in DAO, I named him Champ, after my dog.

Funny thing is, he kinda looks like my dog too.

I also noticed not a lot of love for the dog. Why ? Mines a beast. I play on nightmare with a human rogue. His stun spell is great and I always use domination on the most dangerous enemies. Plus, leveling him couldn't be easier, I dump all his points in Const. and Strength.

So, for anyone that wants to add their two bits, what did you name your dog and if you dislike him, explain yourself! =P

hey i roll with my dog hes the only family i have other then my brother which doesn't appear till end as Howe kill the rest of mine me and my dog are going to get revenge. i named him howie and i actually like the dog now finds items and such and mans best friend he doesn't betray me or leave me he the only most loyal companion who love you w/e you do.

I always name him Puppy, I think it is funny to be like "Come here, Puppy" when he's all covered in gore from shredding darkspawn. Makes me smile.

I like this, I see what angle you're coming from, it makes sense (not that I'm into perpetuating corporate subliminal messaging on the self or anything).
Mine is Hewie. Anyone remember Haunting Ground/Demento? PS2? Odd game (but the main character alone is enough of a reason to get it) - you form a very close bond with your dog, and not many dogs like me, so for me this is the only one.
