My favourite incarnation of Dog thusfar has been "Gorim II" (named in honour of Gorim... the second), who was my Dwarf Noble's most loyal companion. Very useful, too.

Panzer is the general word for a tank and yes, it's another word for armor. (but usually used in combinations like "Brustpanzer", means chest-piece of a heavy armor.)

I downloaded the wolf mod and gave him the Witherfang skin. Then I named him Winter.



Witherfang is HUGE. Nearly the size of your PC and far larger than the vanilla Mabari.



But all the animations work.



I heartily recommend the mod. Gives you something different.

I named him Amarok in my first play-through, after the wolf from Inuit mythology - but then kept calling him Puppy anyway when talking about the game to my husband. (as in "Awww the puppy looks so SAD when he doesn't find anything interesting.") We got tired of trying to remember what our Dog was called in each different play-through, as each of our characters has a different name for the Dog, so we just call each other's dogs Puppy now when we play

My next play-through Puppy is just going to be the Dog's official name.

(My real-life cat also has a name, but ends up just being called Cat. Go figure.)

I named my dog Minsc during my first playthrough.  Clearly a tribute to Baldur's Gate!

Man, I miss Minsc.  What a great character.  Just wanted him along for the ride in this game.

I love my dog n some of the comments that the other party members make about him are adorable. Alistair n my dog talking about being fed human flesh now that was gross lol. Wynne wanting to give my dog a bath haha n I agreed lol. I most especially love the Denerim scene where dog finds a new friend that was cute lol.

I just started my second playthrough, and I'm playing the noble human origin as Minsc, so naturally I named the dog 'Boo' since I can't find any miniature giant space hamsters . My first playthrough he was named Boo as well, though my character was a Dalish rogue named Drizzt. All about the Baldur's Gate
