Several times in the last two weeks or so, my 360 has frozen while playing ME3. It just stops dead, no disconnect or anything, and is stuck on the screen. I have to force the console off and then back on. Sometimes, it glitches on the screen with oddly colored lines. This can happen multiple times in one night, and then not happen for 3 or 4 days before it occurs again. I play in the same room as my brother and dad, and they have experienced the same issue, though far less frequently than I have. I believe only two and three times respectively.

Now, this has also happened on other games, and even on the dashboard of the 360 itself. Attempting to play The Walking Dead had it freezing numerous times one night, until I eventually just gave up. One night it froze on the dashboard three times as well. These occurences happened after it froze during ME3, so I don't know if it is related or not.

I would normally say it sounds like my console is dying (either hard drive or graphics card), but having the same thing happen to two other Xboxes as well is what made me post this. Has anyone had anything like this happen?

Oddly colored lines in games and dashboard.
Freeze in games and dashboard.

Sounds to me like the E74 error. Is it an old system you have? Or do you use the new slim model? I hate to be the carrier of bad news, but your Xbox 360 is dying and it's not related to Mass Effect 3.

I had that happen to me while playing DA2, and assumed it was the game. As it turned out, it was the XBox. After a long series of lock-ups, graphic glitches, and the like, it ended up green-screening, and I had to buy a new one.

Sorry to lay it onto you Bro,but you're xbox is about to die on you, from either the red rings or E74 error.the lines on the screen can only mean two things either the video card is about to die or the upscale chip is dying.either way it isn't ME3 it's you're console.

I figured that was the case but I was hoping someone would have a miracle answer. :( My console is the Halo Reach Slim, so it's not too old. 2 years maybe?

Do you use AV cables or HDMI?

Do you get any error codes and/or blinking flashing lights anywhere?
Does the console sit horizontally or vertically?
Does the system and the power supply unit get enough airflow?
Have you tried to take out the hard drive and then put it back in?
Have you tried performing a system cache maintenance?
