Is there some form of complaint one can put in? At the moment if I encounter idiocy (and by idiocy I mean racism/sexism/homophobia or downright rudeness) I'm just blacklisting the name and kicking the player whenever I see them (luckily I haven't had to do that since I never seem to see the same player twice) but I wondered if there was a system for reporting user names???

I guess you could send a PM to a moderator, or read the stickys about "cheaters". There's no real way to report someone being offensive over the microphone - Origin Live Chat will tell you to leave the game, most likely.

"Mute this person" would be a nice addition to the game.

So what, you've met some idiots and now you feel offended?

I got into a bronze game with a clown (who was the leader) that kept making fart sounds in the lobby. I called him out for being immature and left the lobby.

Fart sounds maybe funny to people and their friends but in a random public game, it is NOT amusing for other people.

It's interesting because ME3 MP is the only multiplayer game I've ever played without experiencing any sort of offensive behaviour.

On Xbox you can File a complaint and submit a bad player review which stops you from getting in games with them in the future.

Because offensive... people (if you know who i mean) are afraid to show their voice in only communication in game. :\\

Welcome to the internet. I just turn the volume down on my headset to 0. Then inform them that I won't be hearing them because my volume is down but my mic is still perfectly capable of talking to them if they are in fact intelligent enough to understand complete sentences and coherent thought.

Doesn't make it any worse than a game with people who have no mics.

I just think there should be some consequences for people being racist, homophobic, misogynist bigots. *shrugs*. It doesn't bother me so much, if I see their name in the lobby again I'll just kick the player or leave, but it would be nice if something worse could happen to them.

PC really needs a mute function. I havent had any negative experiences as of yet with people on the mic but I would like to keep that option open.

X-Box has some sort of report function.

I'd just leave the game if someone said something I found offensive.

Yes, this is a serious issue Mr. Buzzkillington.

Can't have the world full of rude people with bad attitudes.

Damn, I removed his number to make room for something more important...."Yes, can I get an extra large with pepperoni"

@Maria Caliban That's what I did in the end. But I'm actually thinking of just starting up my own little blacklist if people are interested.

As an aside, this guy wasn't absolutely dreadful, especially not by the standards I've heard from other players, he was just rude. Screaming at people to rez you when you've died from incompetence isn't going to make me keen to run to your aid, especially when you use offensive terms to do it.

On Xbox, it's easy. Go to File Complaint. Idk about PC and PS3.
To avoid the player on Xbox, go to Player eview or something like that. You can prefer or avoid the player through this.

Attn. Trash: Stop burping into your microphone!! That may be normal behavior in your trailer, but it is an unbelievable lack of class and utterly vile.

I agree there should be an easier way to Mute ppl, but you can get pretty good at it. The best defense is to fill your friends list with like minder players and stick to playing with them.

I made a similar experience before, where I was left alone soloing a hacking objective and those people kept screaming over the mic, complaining about every single action I made. I finally have had enough and left the game before the objective was completed.

There's basically nothing you can do about anti-social beahviour of some people you meet over the internet, just ignore them and move along.

If you are on xbox just start a party and you won't have to listen to them, insta-mute on everyone.

Yep, I assume that they are on drugs or drunk or something if they get crazy. I just leave.

I do have to say that this is the first time I've ever encountered nastiness like that in ME3 multiplayer, which was a pleasant surprise. It just would have been nice to keep thinking that ME players were somehow superior to all the other people on the internets.

NO MATTER. I shall keep a pad and pen next to my desktop and right down their user names for future reference. Thanks for the advice.
