If one has not played a lot of shooters then ME3 MP can be difficult.

The only shooters I've played were ME 1 and ME 2. I found bronze hard during the demo but now I can solo it.

Look at this guy's manifest. He's obviously played a number of games but he can't even finish a Bronze PUG?

So let's make it so a really new player gets frustrated and quits.  Does that really sound like a good idea?  Their are a vast number of game players who are hesitant to play multiplayer I for one would like to see them start.  Even after many years computer gaming (especially Multiplayer) in the US is not mainstream.  The general public still thinks it is more of an aberation than a hobby.  The more people we can get involved the more that will change.

Bob.... you're beating that drum all alone dude. There is nothing wrong with the difficulty of this game's multiplayer. I've seen girl gamers stomp major ass in this game. I've seen my 9 year old daughter who has played only TWO games EVER stomp Bronze into dust.

If a gamer sucks so bad that they can't finish Bronze with a team then there is no hope for that gamer and they may as well take their console/rig to the nearest pawn shop and give up on gaming. It's not for them.

Gold is solable if done right, Bronze is a complete joke to anyone with half a brain.

I've soloed bronze but not silver or gold. Doing it 'right' takes a large amount of skill.

...you might want to just trade in your game and go for something else a little less skill intensive, like crafts maybe.

I'm going to guess you don't do any crafting if you don't think it's skill intensive. Do you think building a chair or table is easy? How long do you think it would take you to learn to make dresses that someone would actually want to wear?

Ive got some pointers that i think could really help you..........

Make sure your controller is turned on. This will help with moving and shooting.

Make sure youre facing the tv / monitor. This will help for seeing whats happening.

Make sure your eyes are open. I cant stress this enough!! Vision is important for success.

Hopefully if you try all these fixes, you should have better results.

What's a tv?  I was wondering where the hdmi cable coming from my ps3 plugged into:P

You're obviously not very good at games in general. Gold is easier than ME2 Insanity ever was.

BS .

If you have a good team, Gold is manageable. The stats speak to the difficulty on Gold only 3% of Gold matches are successful; of those 3% a ton are probably farming FBW on Gold. Either you are a very skilled player, farming FBW on gold, or just full of it. Most people struggle especially if they're playing PUG on Gold.

Uh, most people don't bother finishing their gold matches because there isn't a point once you get the money.  That stat is not indicitive of how difficult gold is.  All I play are gold matches and I bet I finish less than 30% and that is because we don't want to waste the time or items finishing the map when there is no point.

Bronze too hard? Come on. I can understand Silver and Gold (had some bad gameplays last night), but Bronze? No, just no.

It has to be. Even when I was an N7-1 lvl 1 I still was able to complete my first Bronze game. With an Avenger and a Mantis.

There is no way someone can suck that bad unless;

1) They don't know what MP means.
2) They have no hand/eye coordination.
3) They are 5 years old and shouldn't be playing this game anyway.
4) Mental problems, which isn't BioWare's fault at all.
5) They recently came down with the worst case of "sucking ass" that the world has ever seen.

The only thing that really threw me about MP the first few times was no time dilation on inf sniping or AR. Even then, you learn to do without it.

You didn't correct me. I gave up on trying to explain to you how EA works. If there were "dedicated" servers for this game they would be ran by EA. EA's servers suck. Why is that hard to understand?

The reason why my statement about dedicated servers are true is because of ORIGIN. You must have an ORIGIN connection to play the game. Which means those servers would have to have a connection to ORIGIN. It's called DRM.

See there how I did that? You failed again. Nice talking to ya and proving you wrong. But I didn't want to make you a public fool the first time we had a discussion.
And now I just had to explain to YOU how EA works and how any servers hosting this game would work.
Now, let's see what other's have to say..... :D

I know you're a console player, and have little to no knowledge about how dedicated game servers actually work, so I'll keep this brief:

Even though you need a Origin ID to play the game doesn't mean your server has to communicate with either of EAs servers, including their Origin platform server. Look at Battlefield, look at Counter-Strike. Look at any game that actually uses dedicated servers and you might understand the basic principles of how they work. And while on the subject: Playing any DRM game outside their respective platform is not a problem.

I've tried to play a game or two to get my readiness back to 100%. I only ever play bronze because I simply can't cope with silver or gold. I far too hard for me, silver and gold are certainly harder than insane of the SP ME3.

I've given up on the week end tasks because they are impossible and by Bioware's stats only 1 to 2 % of people can do it anyway.

I still think this game needs either something easier than bronze, or something harder than gold, with a little rebalance of Bronze and Silver.

<- Can solo silver, and plays gold most of the time

This. I've always said there should be an easy mode for beginners who've never played MP to ease them into it. Maybe a Copper difficulty level. Then, for those who've become so adept at Gold, a Platinum difficulty.

That said, there's no reason to be abrasive to Bioware because you aren't used to it. Get used to it. Keep playing with people who know how to work together as a team. Don't be a negative Nancy, man. =]

I miss the days of thinking and feeling that Bronze was difficult and action packed. Had good times. Then I moved onto Silver and was all bronzewhut?

Once you get used to Silver, it becomes much easier.

Silver: Sorta stick together, have fun, risk of failure but quite manageable.

Noticed that playing Silver yesterday with different random players that we all got to wave 10 then bit the dust. Every time. Yep, things got harder, but just means have to hone skills better. And that I'm going back to Bronze. :P

I cannot begin to fathom the immensity of your fail. I have extensive knowledge of how dedicated servers work. But you seem to have NO knowledge about EA's DRM practices and what ORIGIN entails.

IF there were dedicated servers for ANY EA game ANYMORE they will be run by EA. It's how ORIGIN works, it's how EA works, and it's just how it is.

You seem to want to bring up past games and yet you completely forget about games like Everquest, WoW, and other games of the sort used strict server protocols to ensure that the ONLY way to play that game was on a company supported and maintained server.

And that is the model EA has gone to. Just shut up before you make yourself look like a bigger idiot. ;)

EDIT: And btw you know dick-diddly-sh*t about me. Why don't you check and see what ME2 is registered as.... yeah, I have literally hundreds of PC games and have played PC most of my life. There is only ONE reason I chose to buy ME3 for Xbox. Larger MP playerbase. For a game with a limited lifespan I wanted to maximise my MP options and playability.

******.

It's not how Origin works because Battlefield 3 has dedicated servers that are not hosted by EA. Last time I checked Battlefield 3 was not an old game.

Mentioning MMOs also doesn't mean much because of how MMOs work. It's also laughable because there are tons of private servers for WoW out there(not entirely legal to run them, but they are out there). The only thing stopping people from using them is a section in the EULA that basically says "You have to play on Blizzard's servers".
