Why does Kaidan look so darn old in ME3?

Maybe his chest has been draining the life energy from his face.Mirajin wrote...
Considering humans live to about 150 in ME, hitting your 40s isn't old by any means. It would be more like 20.
I wondered why his chest was so goddamn huge though....it freaked me out a bit.

I mean honestly... in ME he looks young and fresh, then suddenly three years later he looks old and farty. What's that all about?
And Ashley... what's with that hair do and all the botox?
Ah so trying to complain about more retarded crap I see.
So apparently aging between what? 6 ish years and looking like a soldier would after all he's seen and done is a bad thing. And apparently long hair is bad... Oh wait she allready had long hair. Oh and having ****** outside of armor and thus not being flatness out is also bad. She aged about the same as Kaiden. As women get older a lot start thinking of their looks. Thus makeup etc. liara... She's still a maturing alien female...ish person easily explainable.
In short stop your ****ing about retarded hyperbole crap.

And how absurd that, as a spiritual person, Ashley is pro-spirituality. As opposed to being anti-spiritual, as spiritual people are wont to be.

He is about 35 in ME3 though. Being an L2 and then getting his ass handed to him by a robot probably didn't help much either. I did notice there's a little grey at his temples. And I kinda like it.

Untrue. As I grow older, I've become more slovenly and disgusting.wolfstanus wrote...

Nah, that's a weak justification. For one, you're applying a generalisation to a specific instance, and in no way is this valid, even upon first examination. To wit: if Ashley had a turnaround (during the six months of Shepard's absence) in which she suddenly became self-conscious of her looks and demeanour (which is already not in keeping with her character), that is something that you must show on-screen. Otherwise, it's simply derailment. And as BioWare themselves admitted, they 180'd on her aesthetic simply because they were hit by a particularly virulent strain of Needed to Be Sexy.
It's a valid complaint. That sh*t is annoying.

I can well believe that using his L2 biotic amp on a daily basis would shorten his life span somewhat, which is quite sad imo (beach house retirement anyone?).
It bothers me more that they bulked him up to Thor proportions. It just looks...weird. In spite of that anyway, he still looks fine to me.

I thought that was more Garrus than Kaidan, not that he's not awesome in his own right...

They just used the same model throughout (except for Vega)

How's garrus cursed with awesome? I'm not disagreeing, I just don't get how. He's an ordinary (though highly skilled and basically awesome) Turian.
Is it really the same model? I stand corrected then, maybe it's just more obvious when he's lying on a hospital bed.

I didn't say I knew how. I just said I could believe it.
But seriously, neurological damage I guess. I'm not saying it's canon, it's totally not. Speculamations.
