Well, it isn't canon, I know, but I was wondering. Neurological damage might cause a degenerative brain disease, but it wouldn't physically age a person. Only cellular death and regeneration causes that (alongside mitochondrial decay).Sal86 wrote...
But seriously, neurological damage I guess. I'm not saying it's canon, it's totally not. Speculamations.
Why does Kaidan look so darn old in ME3?

Your biology fu outstrips my own. Perhaps the theory is not relevent to this thread. I could still believe it but yeah maybe not it visibly aging him.
Apart from which, looking at the comparisson pics above, he doesn't actually look much older to me. Just has fine lines and imperfections added (I assume for realism?)

I don't know what you're seeing. He's hot in ME3, actually better looking than ever. I don't know what was wrong with his face texture in ME1/2, but 3 is ridiculously fine looking.
Agreed, and all the better since mshep finally got to tap that. (or be tapped?)

In ME universe, when men get older they become more......... old, women on the other hand just turn more sexy when they grow older. Evidence? Just look at Liara, Jack, Tali (Her body from ME1 to 2) and Ash (arguably)
Its your classic silver fox and cougar sex appeal.

I don't understand, lol. Even as a male shep, Ashley ALWAYS dies. pro-their-own-religion racist people annoy me.
And how absurd that, as a spiritual person, Ashley is pro-spirituality. As opposed to being anti-spiritual, as spiritual people are wont to be.
You didn't hear her little quip about "Hello?!? Have you looked out a window? How can you look at the galaxy and *not* believe in something!"
My poor Shep facepalm'd so hard.
It didn't help that this was right after he said he was one who was the live and let live type and HADN'T told Ashley if he was religious or not (he wasn't) so needless to say she gets the "Ugh." treatement after that and left to die at the AA tower. (or wherever she was).

...*facepalm*
I'm so tired of this stupid argument.
She's not religious and she doesn't trust aliens so easily. It amazes me the ability to turn that, into racist zealot.

Agreed. I don't know a person or their work ethic, and have concerns about placing my trust in them without any idea of whether or not they'll afford the same to me. Does that make me racist? No, it makes me realistic.
I mention offhandedly that I follow a faith to someone, then politely backpedal asking if it was ok that I do. If they do have a problme with that, I don't bring it up again. If they don't, I nod but still don't bring it up unless the other person does first. Does that make me a zealot? No.

A man does not like chickens. A man must kick the chicken.

Just so.

Anyway, back to Kaidan's looks. He's matured definitely from ME1. He looked about the same age as Shepard in 1 even though Shepard's about 2-4 years younger. In 2, he's not really that much different, but in 3, Kaidan - like fine wine - looked better with age.

He's a bit "underaged" in ME1 is you ask me. And in a lot of fanwork he looks like a teen\\~20 (probably, depends on artist's age). But he was 32 back then, which makes him about 35 in ME3.
What IS wrong here (for both VS) - clear and visible difference between Horizon\\ME3 (about 6month), but not so much of changes between ME1\\Horizon(2years).
And also I don't like what they did with his arms (like in hospital cuts) - too "overboosted" imo, and hair does not add realism. But it may be jus't me - man's hands and arms had always been "special" for me. And in ME1 they treated facial animations better (like THAT first halfsmile). So, I don't find him too old (perfectly fine for me), but some detailes could have more attention.
