Can my comp run this game ( i know this is an old question)

 Hey all just wondering if my comp can run this game before i buy it if it cannot id like to know what i would need Thanks in advance



comp specs are:  windows xp sP3


cpu: AMD athlon™ 64x2 core dual processor 4200+ 2.2Ghz

ram: 2gb

graphics: ATI Radeon x1600-x1650 series 512mb

Yes, but not well. You are basically sitting on or below minimum for both CPU as well as GPU.

would i have to buy a whole new set up if i replace the cpu? also thanks for the reply

Yes, you would.  You have much more room, and lesser expense, if you will change only one, by making that a video card change.  There just aren't any new CPUs for a setup like yours,  The AMDs moved on from s754 / s939 into AM2 & AM2+, then AM3.  There just aren't any readily available high end X2s to upgrade to at reasonable prices.

As a side note, depending on which version of the X1650 you have it will run playably. I have one and it's been 30-40 FPS all the way through the game...

Desktop or Laptop? When you run DXDiag it should let you see the "chip type" along with the RAM quantity.

Mine: ATI Radeon Graphics Processor AGP (0x71C1) 512mb... the 0x71C1 is the specific model code and seems to designate the X1650 series as well as manufacturer (a quick google search brought up my specific retail box on Amazon.com)

well i don't know what the DXDiag thing is i found out my vid card specs in my CCC thing, also im running a desktop,



and would it be my device id? thanks for putting up with my stupidity

Go to the 'Execute' function in the Start Menu, type DxDiag. This should give you the DxDiagnosis report.
