Interresting point regarding the IFF though. Thing is, I don't recall the IFF to be an actual device. It was an encryption code, wasn't it?

Whatever it was, it apparently emitted some kind of signal which drew the collectors.

It is a device Shep picks up aboard the derelict Reaper and brings back to the Normandy. Whether or not it is acapable of emitting an indoctrination signal is debateable, but the physical nature of the object is not.

And if you never played Arrival and visitoed Object Rho? Or does Harbinger's threat count as successful indoctrination?

It doesn't matter if you never played Arrival.  The game is still pointing out that Shepard is not immune to indoctrination.  SERIOUSLY?!   Why is this even a question?

What are you talking about? Who said Shepard is immune?

Buy the dlc to see the canon or you miss out. Just like buying the book to see the canon or you miss out.

Well, you missed the entire point.

I always saw reaper tech as "living" metal.  So anything the reapers make it will carry an indoctrination signal.

From ME 1, Saren Himself states that the more control that Sovereign exerts, the less capable the subject becomes.

The time period from betwen Thessia and Activating the Crucible is anywhere from just under 24 hours to almost 5 days (depending on the locations of the various fleets, wether Shepard did anything in the meantime, etc), and since it is wartime, the sooner the better.

Also, Shepard was proven DEAD for almost 2 years.  Reapers can control dead organic material that has been previously implanted, yes, but indoctrination itself has never been proven to be able to affect the dead (or why can we kill husks, mauraders, etc?), nor has it been proven that indoctrination can effect non-organic (say, a metal I-Beam) materials.  Even the GETH had to be re-programmed.

Finally, Shepard can NEVER be fully indoctrinated.  This is NOT immunity for Shepard, only high resistance.  THere is a reason for this:  The PLAYER.  That's right.  The person sitting at a keyboard, or sitting at a console, isn't indoctrinated, are they?

Are YOU who reads this indoctrinated?

I meant more the components that make up the reapers, like an IFF.  Not everything they make is of the same "living" metal therefore won't have the cqapability of indoctrination.

But the citadel makes sense to be an indoctrination mecca.

Seems like it....which is really odd considering that it would make perfect sense for the cradle of galactic civilization to be slowly indoctrinated over  the cycle....then again the Mass Relay's don't indoctrinate people either...so maybe they're just worried about being found out early on before they're ready?

Hell if I know, but there's definately some contrivance there.

Udina and the hanar Zymandis had no referenced exposure to reaper tech let alone logng periods of time, both indoctrinated.

That chews up your argument and spits it out.

No, it doesn't. Udina was never proven to be indoctrinated, nor was there evidence suggesting he was. Zymandis was exposed to Reaper tech.

Try again!
