I love CDProjekt, but they cannot say that RPG fans don't like similar endings after Witcher 1 and 2.
Witcher 1 - All roads lead to the same place. Your choices influence who lives and dies, and plot points change but the final destination is always the same.
Witcher 2 - Again all roads lead to the same place. Your choices have a bit more meaning - you raise kingdoms to glory, others fall. Kings die or live. However it always ends with a dragon destroying the city, fighting it, then meeting the assassin of kings. The plot points change far far more than Witcher 1, but its not a completely different ending.
Now I'm not knocking this. Stories in games need to lead to the same place. The narrative dictates that we find the assassin of kings rather than run off to a brothel and screw until we die. His statement about the ending rings a bit hollow though. Maybe he hasn't played ME3?

I have never played any of The witcher games, but you are being super unfair.
Mass Effect 1: All roads lead to the same place. Your choices influence who lives and
dies, and plot points change but the final destination is always the
same. (Promices the BIG choices like the Queen and the Council will matter in ME2 and everyone gets hyped, yet is pretty much the same as the witcher1)
Mass Effect 2: Again all roads lead to the same place. Your choices have a bit more
meaning - squadmates die or live.
However it always ends with the normandy running away from a pulse of energy that will destroy the collector base. The plot points change more
than ME1, but its not a completely different ending. (and again the BIG choices like the Queen, the Counci, the base, etcl will matter in ME3 and
everyone gets hyped).
Mass Effect 3: You see the result of your choices and honestly aside Tuchanka all of them fail rats ass... you bear with it because the NUMBERS have to mean something for the ending, you have 7100 WAs and 100% Galactic Readiness for a reason... and then... this:
