Tore that *** up. I usually disapprove of jock riding on BioWare employee posts, but this one is deserving. It looks like everyone gets tired of taking flak for something that they may not have considered to be a transgression at all.Chris Priestly wrote...

Make Mass effect sneakers or fix the ending hmmm
Yeah, because a company like Tweak footwear who make awesome shoes should be the people to fix the ending?
Oh now, wait. You mean Treehouse stores, the people who sell shirts, lithographs, hoodies, etc. THEY are the ones who fix the end of the game.
No no no. Wait again. You mean all you people asked for voluntary submissions of your designs. You are the guys not fixing the ending.
Am I still wrong about this? I'm not sure who you think should be "fixing the ening" cuz NO ONE involved with this show project works on the Mass Effect development team, the guys who ACTUALLY work on the extended cut.
Are you getting my point here yet?
If you like the shoes and want to design a pair, great. Please do, there have been some great ideas, but the more the better. If you don't like the shoes and don't want to submit a design, ok. Hopefully you'll like the design chosen to be made.
However, if you are going to appear ignorant (not that anyone actually is, but some comments seem pretty... misinformed), I suggest you remain quiet as you wait to complain about something else.
OT: I agree with an earlier post about the shoe style. Does it have to be that converse all star style? They aren't exactly my favorite shoe. I also still support the chibi N7 design regardless. Or the council approved spectre shoe.

Seriously though- I wanna watch the Blasto movies... There should be a multiplayer expansion pack where we all just file into a movie theater and watch Blasto- and it should also give us experience points. :-P lol.
Blasto can be the player character in ME4.

I'm sorry Mr. Priestly, while I know it's true the actual people working on the EC are not here and shoe makers have nothing to do with "fixing" the ending, you are here. That is something that seems sorely lacking in other threads and fans really do care about the game, have always cared about ME, and wish to know that that's understood.
In the midst of such controversy and lack of any sincere acknowledgement of appreciation for the views expressed, it seems like a bit of a slap in the face to be asked to act all normal like and buy more fan-based stuff.
I know they are working on the EC, but we don't feel we've actually been listened to. There are literary professors saying how flawed the ending is, fans that have eloquently posted their feelings, yes feelings as to why it can't be clarified, but needs some excision. We played games that were intelligent and we felt the better for it, we felt that finally games didn't have to be just colored lights and all, but that they had us thinking and making choices along the way. But then in announcing the EC, we felt we were being told that we just didn't "get" the ending to a game we've become emotionally attached to.
We've tried to explain that Shepard was made to be unlike the Shepard we played throughout 3 games-never protests in the face of circular, illogical logic.
We've tried to explain that our choices mattered very little, contrary to our understanding of how the ending would be treated.
We've tried to explain that substituting the star child for the real antagonist in the last few minutes of the game is at least confusing and at worst, removes all emotional attachment in our fear that should be paramount at the end. It's like falling off a cliff.
But, what we understand from what we've been told all that and more is here to stay. It's artistic vision and we think the artist's blind. We are fans who wholeheartedly loved these games like you love a friend, but the friend let us down at the end. The FAQ on the EC isn't all that helpful in all of us building bridges. It doesn't indicate that what people are saying has been heard. I'm sorry, it doesn't. The ending breaks literary "rules", it breaks the player's emotional bond with the game and with Shepard. It is a void of incomprehensible, uncharacteristic, non-contextual stuff. And what most of us feel is a deep desire to pull out our infinite ammo pistol and shoot the star kid in the head.
Now, someone wants me to buy shoes. I need way more than clarity for that. I'm sorry. I need the devs to respect my feelings and show me that they have in order for me to want to buy shoes. I respect you all. I am so thankful for having gotten to know the characters that were created within these games and the sensitivity and nuance and meaning given to the stories along the way. I just don't want it to end this way. There may be nothing that will be done about that, you all may never see things my, or our way, but at least I'd (we'd) like you to see that we come from a place of love and that you truly have listened to and understood what we are saying.
I know this isn't the place for this and I'm sorry for that.
Agreed. It isn't that these shoes are being made, its that PR focus is being diverted towards it.
Its like a car manufacturer making a car that is unsafe, and then instead of saying they are fixing the car they declare they are researching new paint colours and then asking what everyone's favourite flavour of ice cream is.
Its not clever business practice.

I love this idea, all of the creative contests Bioware has been having are so awesome. I've been too shy to participate (and am a bit of a newbie fan so I missed a lot) but maybe I'll try this one!
