Bioware simply confirming it wouldn't suffice, even if I.T. is true, the game (as it is currently) ends on a cliffhanger.

Right, I meant it that way: If IT is made canon, of course the real ending should be given. Made it clearer now.

Survey taken, loads of options, very thorough.

My greatest annoyance by far was Joker's Wild Ride to gilligan's planet. It needs to be explained why he was beating feet through the Charon Relay.
Second was the inability to challenge the Catalysts assumptions.
Can't believe I forgot about these two. Added the first to Part 3 - that's if you want to actually change that scene. If you just want to explain it, I believe "What happens to the squad while we're on the Citadel" covers it.
Added the second to part 2 since it could still fit in without altering the existing dialogue lines or choices.

I'm afraid I'm going to skew the survey a bit with these additions. I might publish a separate analysis excluding the first 600 results or so.
Other things:
- Fixing the Journal seems to be the most common bug complaint in single player.
- Harbinger as a boss battle has come up a few times. I had it as an option in the previous survey, but it didn't get enough support to warrant putting it back in.

And I would really love for them to fix the annoying bugs, like heads turning 180° when speaking to people, characters floating in the air, Shepard twitching like he has a spasm during some conversation scenes, the horrible lighting, the face import ****.... even without the debacle that was the ending, the game has many smaller problems which, all taken together, really take the wind out of it's sails.

That and changing the survey questions partway through would make it all pretty invalid, although still interesting.

This doesn't guard against ballot-stuffing, does it?

Nope it doesn't. The only way to do that would be to make a BSN survey, or somehow log IP's. But I love the analysis power of Google Docs.
I actually don't mind that people fill this in a second time: Since I've been tweaking the survey a bit in the last couple hours, it's their right to give different answers. If enough people answer this (and it looks good so far), a few hardliners voting 3-4 times won't matter. I can also scan for large groups of similar answers to root out mass abusers or bots.
Speaking of analysis:
- The bar is set high for Bioware: 67% of respondents want at least 10 of the 12 options (originally) proposed in part 2. 27% want ALL of them.
- The reward may be equally high. The satisfaction delta stands a 0.91 point (out of 5) This is the difference between how satisifed people are with the game as it is, versus how satisifed they would be with their choices in Pt 2 implemented.
I'm very happy to have the breakdown by platform. Since Xbox users actually constitute the vast majority of the player base, I might re-weight the survey results in their favour a bit. Of course I'll be very transparent about that. Fortunately the differences between Xbox and PC players aren't that huge.

- 57% of respondents have chosen at least one option in Part 3, and will be dissatisfied / very dissatisfied if it is NOT implemented.
- 26% have chosen 3 or more options in Part 3, and will be dissatisfied / very dissatisfied if they are NOT implemented.
Clearly the most popular of these is to replace or alter the Catalyst somehow (79%) with the most popular choice being by Harbinger (44%)
Cutting or modifying the "Joker runs away" scene is also very popular: 83% of respondents since the option was introduced. That is: As opposed to just explaining it.
Adding an option for conventional battle (Reject the 3 choices) also gets 77% support. I'm curious, would you guys still want to have that option even if we loose?

Funnily enough, filling out the questionare made it clearer for me just how unsatisfied I would be, if they will just explain these awful endings.
