1. ramming speed. ram the citadel with the crudible.

2. instead of trying to defend earth, evacuate it.

3. lure the reapers into a trap on earth. Shep perhaps making ultimate sacrifice. and then blow it to hell - taking the reapers with it.

or.

Just upload Windows Vista 64 bit into the reaper consiousness - guaranteed to make them crash and burn.

the worst piece of software i have ever had the unfortunate pleasure of having infect one of my pc's.  Can I add....

5.  Attach a tow rope to the citadel.  Tow it to Jupiter.  Gather ALL fleets around jupiter and engage the reapers.  Ignite the Citadel over Jupiter (mainly Hydrogen) kaboom!!!  no more reapers.... or Windows Vista 64 bit.

There's only one way to fight that battle. Eve-Online style by focusing on one enemy ship at a time. Alternatively crash the whole solar system server by bringing too many ships.

Not enough oxygen for the hydrogen to explode. All the meteor strikes that Jupiter endures would've blown away the hydrogen if there was enough oxygen (creating water, H + O).

Not explode.  Jupiter could be a star.... all the right ingredients.... all it needs is an ignition source for that chemical reaction to start at it's core.  Just accelerate it a bit and adios reaper dudes.

Stars don't use chemical reactions I'm afraid. And nuclear fusion doesn't work with just an ignition source

The plan?
We destroy the Citadel. Get rid of the Crucible, and fly some ships inside. Relay explosions are bad. The Citadel has the greatest range of all the relays we know. Therefore, a Citadel explosion is the worst. The majority of Reaper forces are concentrated around Earth. We extract the vast majority of our fleet before the system goes boom taking Earth and Shepard along with it :/

But now the numbers are more even. Now there is hope.

How do you extract the Citadel fleets without the Reapers running for it too?

Don't know why you're getting into dorktanian's idea. Making the bang isn't a problem, catching the Reapers in it is.

Just throwing it out there- If a conventional victory turned out to be impossible, and the combined fleets were being decimated above Earth, I don't think anyone would hesitate to try and destroy the Charon Mass Relay. A sorta "If we're going down, we're going down swinging move."

Take as many of the Reapers down as possible.

Slamdunk asteroids into mass relays.

Pretty much the only viable alternative.

With conventional victory impossible, the best thing to do would be to prevent as many Reapers as possible from entering an FTL jump, and then blow up the Sol relay, thereby sacrificing the system, the Victory Fleet, and killing a large number of Reapers.

All in Ball's to the wall's. If we lose, They are gonna hurt for it. And we may just win.

... Really someone would be losing their head after that. What idiot decided to put Trillion's apon trillion's of credit's worth of resources into something that look's like a sex toy?
