 Why would I as a good upstanding human, ever cure the genophage? It keeps one of the most savage races in the whole galaxy under wraps and ensures that no human will ever have to die fighting some barbaric krogan horde. Even Wrex is just brute who will eventually try to expand his territory, maybe diplomatically for some time. His successors won't be so amenable.

In my opinion, the genophage doesn't go far enough. Once we've tricked the Krogan into aiding us, of course after Wrex has been killed, then we should take the fight to Tuchanka and exterminate them as a race.

Yes because humanity has never commited ****ing horrible crimes. Sure genocide is the way to go just ignore the good aspects of the Krogan they're all dumb brutes.

Considering how it ended, why cure the genophage, stop the war between the Quarians and the Geth, save the Rachni, or do one of about a million other things. In the end everyone is screwed anyways.

Krogan wiped out Rachni and tried to wipe out Salarians, Asari, and Turians, launching space stations at planets and whatnot.

Time to get rid of those rooster-headed fools for good.

There should be reason for it - even if you can still win without curing the genophage then it should clearly show some pretty unpleasant aftermath - e.g. Palaven wrecked much more than it would otherwise be, but you'll know that post-Reaper there's zero chance of the krogan being a threat instead of having to put faith in Wrex and Eve.

Still, ultimate lack of consequences is what ME3 was all about.

An aggrieved, hopeless Krogan society is never going to be anything but brutes. But there is no reason to believe that they will remain brutish with a normal society restored. Remember, the Salarians basically came and dumped advanced tech on the Krogan at about the same point in development that we were fighting a major war every decade and threatening to nuke each other into oblivion.

The main difference with the Krogan is that they went for tactical nukes and such, when we managed not to (barely).

Being worried about a future agressive expansion of the krogan is justified. Calling for their extermination is going too far.

I like batarians, so it takes a lot more than some faulty logic about a race that can create wonderful asari inspired poetry to convince me to hate the krogan.

They'll never have the chance to become a threat. 

Krogan have no real fleet. The Council races can collectively bombard Tuchanka with WMDs and space stations, or poisoning their environment like they did with the genophage.

Krogan don't have a snowball's chance in hell. It'd take a few years. Maybe 5 tops.

I'm not anti-alien. The civilized races like the Council are worthy of admiration and imitation.

The savages like the Krogan, Vorcha, and Yahg need to be purged.
