What can I say? WW2 is the best example for this kinds of things. I don't mean to disrespect the germans. Sorry if I offended.

Its a simple question of destroy or be destroyed. You would destroy the Reapers because they would destroy you. Therefore, using this logic, it only makes sense to destroy the Krogan.

They have shown that they cannot be defeated forever. Even the genophage cannot secure their defeat. Therefore, they must be destroyed.

Using this logic, all the Germans in WW2 needed to be killed because of the ****z. Is that fair?

It's not the same at all. The Krogan are constantly genocidal. Whether they commit genocide on themselves as a race, on the Rachni, or attempt one on every other race in the galaxy. They will not stop until everyone is dead.

How come everyone thinks Javik is cool if he had the exact same type of logic?

Nevertheless, the creation of the Krogan genophage was during a complicated and desperate time, either implement the genophage, or be conquered by the Krogan and die. Which would you choose?

He is not human..so its fine. People hate what Cerberus has done and call them monsters but are fine with the STG, specters and all the other lovely alien groups that pull the exact same crap.

It very much the same. ****s did some horrible things. they wanted to control the world. Not so different than how the krogan started to take planets of others.

Are all the germans responsible for what was done? No.

Are all the krogan responsible for what was done? No.

Look at Tunchnka. There are krogan there. If all of the krogan would be killers, none will be in Tuchanka. Everyone will become merceneries. The race would have been exint long ago. Yet they didn't. They tried to settle down. The mere fact Eve and Wrex want to start a new age for the krogan people, they want better life that doesn't involve killing each other, is enough to tell us there is hope.

Look at the ruins of Tuchanka. The krogan once had art, their buildings were not made of mud. They had culture that was more than just "killed or be killed".

The krogan deserve better than extintion.

( EDIT: what's up with the ****? is it not allowed to write it?)

Even your beloved Krogan leader, Wrex, states that the best life that any Krogan can live is one of a warrior. Killing, he says, is actually more respected by the Krogan than using their alleged intelligence to seek a cure to their affliction.

And you do realize that life on Tuchanka by all rights SHOULD be extinct? It's the Salarians who keep that planet alive. Now that the Shroud has been destroyed, with hope, all life on Tuchanka will go with it.

That is sadly true. People seem to have a special hate for human characters. There is not ONE human character that didn't get load of hate. When characters like Javik, Wrex, Garrus, Tali, Samara... Are much more extreme, or racists, than most humans (aside from TIM), and they get a lot of love. That is just... Sad.

I think it has to do with the fact that they are not Human so they get a pass..where as TIM, Ashley and the rest are human so they are judged more harshly.."how could they think that"..etc.

He says that in ME1, no? He also states there that he doesn't care about the krogan. But he helped them anyway, no?

You are avoiding the fact Krogan still want to start anew. You instist of taking up with their past mistakes. You are ignore what good they had, and have.

At least look at Eve. She is a good person, no? As are the rest of the females. They remember the good things about the krogan culture. She IS the past of the krogan culture.

If the krogan will come back to where they were, what Eve describes, wouldn't it be worth it?

Ironically enough, they hate Ashley for not siding with Shepard and Cerberus in ME2, and hate TIM and Cerberus for what they did. <_<

And people always forget the fact Ashley was right. Council didn't help the humans when Earth needed the help the most, even though the council could have helped.

Some people need to look the defintion of "racism" and "realism".

The main issue with Ash in ME2 had to do with her reaction when she meets you on horizon..what most people forget is she had no idea you were alive and all she hears is that you disappeard for two years and you have been with Cerberus..really its Liaras fault for her reaction..all she would have had to do was send a email...

It doesnt matter if she was right shes an "Evil Racist" Same as TIM...even if they have legitamite points...

The council has dragged its ass when dealing with anything that involved humans.. they have always been concerned about their own well being..

Oh goodness, it took a while for the picture with the badly drawn Approve/Disapprove symbol to show up for me. I was scared for a second this would be the first Cata thread without one.

I killed Wrex in ME1 and I destroyed Maleon's Genophage research data in ME2. In ME3, after listening to Wreav go on about getting revenge, I chose to not cure the genophage.

After reading the Mass Effect Wiki about how Wrex wouldn't go on a revenge spree if he had survived then I would have cured it.

Then you are naive. Wrex will not lead the Krogan forever. Even if his absurd notions of peace are true, his hold on his own people is very loose. He could lose that power any day.

Are we seriously still doing this? Fine.
You're assumption that a people or culture can't change over time is faulty.

From a purely strategic perspective for the reaper war, curing the genophage is the superior option. It's always nice to have your shock troops replenish themselves.

The Reaper War is unwinnable, without the Crucible. If the Crucible fails, then the war is lost. Krogan reproduction will only delay this loss.

Therefore, ultimately the only thing necessary to win the war is to gain Krogan support in the short term, as a long term increase in their numbers is irrelevant. Thus it is best to simply trick them and gain their support, without curing the genophage. Then they will be unable to threaten the galaxy once the war has ended.

My point is that if you do fail, at least you incur as many reaper casualties as possible and give them one hell of a fight. If you win, you monitor the situation with the krogan. If need be, I'm sure a new genophage could be made. That's probably actually the first thing the salarians do if you cure the genophage. As the ending stands now, it doesn't really matter to me because there are no krogan females in the sol system.

Personally, even though I cured the genophage, this thought came into my mind: If I pretend to cure it, I get both krogan and salarian support, and it won't even matter at the end, even when the krogan find out I lied, because THE ENDING DOESN'T FREAKING TELL YOU WHAT HAPPENED!
