Is it really suprising they were voted worst company in America?
Nope. It's fairly typical Americanism that Day 1 DLC and 'DEY RUIND MAH GHEYM' is seen as worse than poisoning people, torturing animals and profiting off African deaths.

Still better than the ME3 ending.

Do you have a problem with this?
Also assuming ME3=Worst company in America seems far fetched. I imagine a lot of credentials are needed to win this award.

and yet we have orginstions that are already dealing with those problems. EPA. PETA, and if you are talking about deases that would be the WHO, if you are talking about warlords and blood dimonds and slavery choclote that would be an UN issue. (which tho UN sucks at dealing with any of that sort of stuff)

EA is still standing where other "better" companys have died so they must be doing something right.
One word: Madden. $60 a year from almost every NFL fan is probably one of the only things keeping them afloat. I mean I'm a NFL fan too but 60 dollars for a roster update is extremely not worth it.

I have been guilty of this from 93-2012... I admit 2012 I sold and finished with that. There is nothing more disappointing then Madden each and every year... 07,08,- PS2 Decent and I play 2011 because I am a guilty Saints fan. Rumors we may need a EA/Bioware Bounty gate program...
Edit:Also I would say their Sport titles, not just Madden. Although Madden was the only Sport title I ever personally bought from them. Get my Winning Eleven PES fix from Konami Thank you very much.!

You gotta be something beyond awful so that the majority of the world considers you to be more misserable than a company who destroys families and lets them rot to death in the streets. That's really all there is to say.

EA was voted the worst company of the world recently, beating companies like the Bank of America, which has literally ruined the life of whole families.

I expect to get screwed by a bank.
Not by a video game.

I do take issue with corporate giants coming and and crushing smaller developers in their fists. I have no innate bias to large companies by and large, but this wholesale 'squeeze to the last copper' attitude is starting to grate on my nerves, and the EA execs always struck me as people who were so far removed for their consumer based that they couldn't tell the difference between Mario and Minecraft.

Sure Dragon Age is still alive but it feels like a husk of DA:O. And what didn't you like about KOTOR? I loved the original.Random Geth wrote...

To be honest here, i don't mind day 1 dlc. I bought the collector's edition. We're seeing more of this sort of things these days.
Well personally, this practice has to stop, it's bad enough we get shafted into buying MORE content, when it could be included from day 1.

I don't have an ethical issue with day-1 DLC; games are becoming expensive to create, fans expect more, and with the large second-hand game market, DLC is a good way to keep at least a minute bit of money coming in for all their hard work. It's not a problem for me.

EA already does online passes, which generates money for them despite Used game purchases.
I guess I can understand the online passes, but Day 1 DLC adds to that money milking.

Dragon Age is alive, but when you shelve an expansion that had been planned for the better part of a year and put a stop to any DLC in an effort to try to get the next game to do better than tread water, it's a sign that the franchise is not doing well...it's desperate. If DA3 is even merely average, the franchise is through.

Aren't the online passes strictly for multiplayer? I play on the xbox, and all of our DLC (I think with the exception of Zaeed, who had to be downloaded through the Cerberus News Network, but CNN was free) is avaliable from the Xbox Live Marketplace, so I could completely wrong.
I got the CE for the xbox, so my pass was 'free', but I think I'll be skipping it from now on; I don't do a lot of multiplayer anymore and I won't be pre-ordering from BW games anymore. I usually try to buy all the game-related DLC too but now that's up in the air.
IDK, I suppose from my perspective, Day-1 DLC makes more sense than online passes, at least since in the case of EA/Origins, they're not hosting. Which is a complaint for another thread. <_<

Don't be so harsh on EA. Someone must make sure that those artists from BioWare won't give people their stuff for free. You don't want them to starve to death, do you?
E/A can shove their collective bankbooks up their collective a..es, as for starving to death, Bioware had better stop fragging up their games then, otherwise it's "punted-to-the-curb" for them.

There's a difference between having day 1 DLC, and having content THAT WAS ALREADY IN THE GAME being taken out and then sold as day 1 DLC. It would be like buying a car and then being told "Oh, the side mirrors? Yeah, they were on the car, but we took them off. But you can pay $500 to have them put back on"
My car came with satellite radio... I had to pay extra to have it activated. I didn't cry on their forums about it, would you?
Probably a prius..............
