So after having a bit of sanity restored last night when Mr. Buskell announced that he bought the camera I suggested I thought I had seen it all.

Well.

I have no idea what's going on here but it sure interests me.

Here's the link to the Twitter conversation I spied: Tweet

And here is a link to the page that is discussed: Link

You confuse me greatly Mr. Priestly.

In a good way.

Maybe it means they're reading fan fiction.

So why don't they create a thread like that on their actual forums?
And try to actually engage us instead of letting us twirl about with twenty different threads on how green/blue/red sucks, how everything is IT and IT is everything.
They haven't said anything in their pinned topics for weeks...

sigh

Probably for very good reasons......

The last time Mr. Gamble came on here people jumped all over him.

It wasn't hard for me to come to a conclusion.

He apologized afterwords which was really nice, but damage done.

Well the Final Hours iOS app indicated that they weren't really sure how to wrap it all up until the last moment which led to the infamous "Lots of Speculation From Everybody" note and the "Fans don't need answers" line.

Because of this I have seen it suggested that perhaps BioWare itself wasn't really sure what the results and outcomes of the ending were. If that were the case they could be observing fans posts to glean suggestions or ideas of what to put in, or at least see what it is that people feel is missing.

This seems rather odd though because I think most people just want what we were told would be there in the first place.

That some people are trolls and this forum needs a (better) ignore function? If no one talks of course all information actually given will be jumped on and dissented twenty ways by Sundown. There have been plenty of non burned out rather nice discussion too but if they don't give us something to chew on only trolls will be left by the time they do finally release ec. :?

It doesn't really make any sense.....

I KNOW they care but they have a funny way of showing it.

Mr. Gamble has been pretty cool about the whole thing.

The info he drops every few days really helps people.

All they have to do is give the BSN a vent thread, obviously eliminating the most egregious offenders within.

After that's up for a couple of weeks and everything's cooled down, he would be able to come back to a much gentler community.

Those are the pinned topics they haven't said anything in for weeks.
Which makes it just a tad bit difficult to believe they really are listening.

Mike seems to have really thin skin.

Both times he stormed off didn't really seem like he was getting attacked or was being unreasonably challenged.

Actually that page was created early in development according to the authours (Mr Keighly) reddit ama.

Seems like they want to be pretty clear that the will just be explaining the current ending. Not changing anything, or adding (such as the option to tell the starkid to shove it)

I like the first reply in the thread.

"I also think that the ending needs to contain more of a sense of heroic accomplishment. As it stands I was left feeling like Shepard’s life was sacrificed in order to accomplish one of three different flavors of failure and break the backbone of galactic civilization. Life did survive, but in all three cases the cost of success just seemed far too high."

Thats exactly how I feel about the ending. Three different flavors of failure.

You're right about that. But I assume since the VA have been called in they might be done listening? I don't know.

Honestly I have almost had it with Bioware, the way that they have delt with the whole situation has been confusing and now this, where I once trusted that they knew what they where doing now I just think they are 'winging it' and its really worrying!

Edit - spelling

Priestly is addressing the more............distressed members of the community on that page.

They are farther along the road than we are.

But he actually took the time to ask.

Which astounds me.

Oh my mistake then. I don't have an iOS device so I haven't seen the app first hand but I have read quoted excerpts from it that indicated that the note had been written at the end of 2011.

Edit: Did Mr. Keighly say anything about the "Don't need answers" line? Because I always found that particulary galling.

He's been posting there for weeks (since before his vacation IIRC).

It's nothing new. It's just a really strange and seemingly pointless question to ask.

It's on PC, too, and the late-2011 thing was when Sheen was in for his final voicework.
