Mike who? You guys refer to him on a first name basis

One Mr. Michael Gamble, one of the producers and the one who has to take all the flak that Hudson and Walters don't.

No......

I just don't know.

Mr. Priestly is in the PR department, he doesn't work with the developers directly.

He merely asked on a site that had the most disinfranchised people on it.

They are going to be the hardest to please.

It's going to bomb with the people who are most upset. Miss Merizan made a very good point to me personally on Twittter the other day. People have already decided to be unhappy. Quite a few people will never forgive Bioware for this.

I don't think that's fair. Not at all.

What decision can people make based on no information? Do you want to know what people expect, Chris? They expect nothing. They expect nothing because they don't know anything.

They want. And all they can judge is based on how they feel and what they want. And if it doesn't look like BioWare is providing that, without knowing what the hell BioWare is actually going to provide, of course your response will be to be unhappy.

This does not make people unreasonable. It makes them people. I'm upset. I've told you why. You've told me something is happening but refuse to tell me whether my reaction is understandable or typical or if anything that has made me feel this way is what you're looking at addressing.

People haven't already decided to be unhappy. People are unhappy because you've given them nothing to be happy about.

Dude I come from a political family, I know when someone is dancing around a word that will be committal. that “I asked what you expected not what you wanted” line is just that, trying to make someone think you said something but not really saying it so you can go back on it after. It reeks of spin and bull****. They will screw us over trust me, that’s why he put that caveat in there.

So do I and I work in the film industry. My life is cluttered with bull****. Lots and lots of bull****.

You cannot make a judgement until you see a final product. The smartest marketing move to make is to gauge what they can do to please as many people as possible with as little as possible.

Honestly, no amount of cutscenes and dialogue will be able to fix the tremendous amount of plot holes of the entire game. There's just too many.

True. But something that can provide emotional closure will make people forget. That's a fact.

It certainly worked for all the glaring holes in Star Wars.

The original films anyway.

It would be funny if the mods on the HTL forum locks his thread, like the BW mods do here.

"HTL is for fans that have seceded from the BSN, BW propaganda is against the site rules."

Yeah, that is a pretty unusual move.

Only thing that makes sense is that they've got the thing pretty much scripted and conceptualized, and they're wanting a check-list of desirable things that they did and didn't have included.  Considering the fact that they've already brought (most of) the voice actors in for their sessions, I can't logically assume that they'd be able to make full-blown additions at this point; but, then again, they may have recorded a bunch of different scenarios (as they've been known to do) and will figure out what to cherry-pick for incorporation---or not.

To me, this is what a divorce must be like.

You have one of the partners feeling spurned, and the other spouse is just trying to keep it together by throwing gifts at them and repeating promises that they've broken in the past. Neither side is listening really.

The fact that they kept locking topics here, that while critical and bordering on vitriolic were legitimate in their criticism just pissed off people to the point where they went to go make another internet place to live. If Bioware was smart they would have kept those people here and kept fighting within these confines.

Like the husband or wife that moves out, once they started organizing their things outside of BSN, they tended to find out that life without Bioware isn't so hard. At some point there's an inevitability to it, BSN as it was on March 5th cannot possibly exist any more. Even if the EC is okay, people will have moved on already.

I'm going to address this tomorrow. I can no longer provide information once production has truly begun because I am not there but I can get you ready for what comes next.

That's the best I can do for you.

(laughs) I know enough about---and have some experience with---the creative processes in the production and post-production stages to establish my impressions, but thanks! I'm sure it'll be helpful for someone.

Which I expected them to do.........weeks ago.

Not sure if ego boosted........

Or just happy.......

I honestly think this is a thinly masked attemp at generating false hope to gain the attemtion of more people on HTL and here on BSN.

It's a cheap tactic to ensure that we're all hyped about it and download it, then they can come out and say that the DL numbers were high and that "Most everyone" liked the EC. That way they can play it off as a good move, and not a ****ty PR tactic.

No.

You see one mistake of this magnitude has already caused a massive outcry. I get the feeling that a great many of the most hurt fans will wait and see what is in it before they download at all.

You see in the end, the ones that garner the most praise for Bioware are not the critics but the fans who have been with them for over ten years.......people like me. My word means more than anything that Colin Moriarty will ever do (although I'm fairly certain my own writings on films have reached a more varied audience).

We shall see.

But how is that the time or place to compile such a checklist?

BioWare has thousands of pages of feedback and thousands of Twitter and private messages, and who knows how many letters (and whatever other avenues they have available for gathering feedback), not to mention direct conversation with fans at PAX.

That they would need to sneak around at this point in order to find out what has to be included just doesn't make sense. I just can't see how this could in any way be intended to provide guidance on the extended cut itself (nothing said in that thread is going to find its way to the developers, at least not as something they would consider including in the DLC).

Maybe he's simply trying to guage how much work community is going to have to do to smooth over any remaining ruffled feathers (to try to minimize the number of people who just outright walk away from the company when the extended cut fails to address their concerns). That seems more likely to me than him being the person to try to figure out the final feature list for the extended cut, and choosing that forum to do it in.

Hold the line. Its a rallying cry to maintain support for a better mass effect 3 ending. It references one of the series most powerful moments. Virmire in mass effect 1.
