What is this? WHAT ARE YOU DOING!? AND WHY!?

How can I know what to expect? YOU'VE GIVEN ME ALMOST NOTHING TO WORK WITH! All I have is a vague PR announcement of the EC and a list of returning voice actors. That's all I have! Why are you even asking this? Shouldn't you all have some idea what the majority of people want expect?

Edit: You know what? No! No more mind-games. I have a question for you! What do you think we want expect? Your answer will be the EC.

That is all. I really have nothing else to say.

I think they do. They were arrogant before but one does not simply brush aside two years of work and sixty thousand people.

But saying anything before it's released will upset at least one set of the upset fanbase.

People have already decided to be unhappy.

Bioware can say nothing to change that.

Still though, they are adamant about emphasizing that they will not be changing the endings. 
Frankly I'm getting sick to death of seeing this.  Of course I don't expect them to come right out and admit that they ***** up.  I don't agree that people have decided to be unhappy.  They are pessimistic with good reason.  

There is  a very damning precedent.  The ending was a shock to many of us.

Those two conflicting statements are rather interesting when viewed together.

It seems like asking a man dying of thirst what he expects, and when he answers that he wants a glass of water saying "No I asked what you expected, not what you want."

Perhaps a bit of over dramatic hyperbole, but this is the internet after all.

It's obvious, isn't it? They are just trying to get an idea of how close to the expectations of the more disgruntled fans their plans for the EC are so they know how deep they need to dig their foxhole (to hide in once EC has been released) and how big the food stores need to be.

Well the Final Hours iOS app indicated that they weren't really sure how to wrap it all up until the last moment which led to the infamous "Lots of Speculation From Everybody" note and the "Fans don't need answers" line.

Because of this I have seen it suggested that perhaps BioWare itself wasn't really sure what the results and outcomes of the ending were. If that were the case they could be observing fans posts to glean suggestions or ideas of what to put in, or at least see what it is that people feel is missing.

This seems rather odd though because I think most people just want what we were told would be there in the first place.

I'll probably think of more later but for now...

1) I want it to make sense:
- I want it to respect the lore that was so painstakingly crafted throughout 3 games and multiple novels/comics.
- I want it to respect Commander Shepard's character/personality.I don't want to have a ton of unanswered questions or be left to ponder what anything 'meant'.

2) I want to know what happens after the fact, aka closure:
- I want to see how Shep's friends and allies react.  I want to know what happened to the victory fleet.  I want to know the fate of the people on the Citadel and if they ever rebuild it and/or the Mass Relays.
- I want to know what happened to the Normandy and her crew (how did my earth squad mates get on board and why was Joker leaving in the first place?)
- I want to know what happens to my LI (in my case Kaidan), does he really just give up on her after everything?
- If that breath in the destroy ending was Shep 'living' is there a chance they could/will be reunited? Heck...I want to see them reunited.I
- I'd dig seeing some memorials/funerals (like for Anderson...) and maybe the start of the rebuilding process.

3) I want to walk away with the same sense of pride and accomplishment I did at the end of ME1 & ME2.

4) I want to feel like the way I played and the choices I made made a difference.

5) I want to be able to go back to wearing my ME swag with pride and telling everyone how much I love BioWare and all your games.

Was there ever any hope to start with?
They seemed pretty determined from the start they where only going to polish the turd. Nothing more.


"Just more to visually process" seems to indicate that there will be no more gameplay, no new dialogue options etc. No chance to tell the Starbrat to shove it and then go out fighting.
