Hi All,

Today I started my PS3 to play ME3 MP and I have a problem with the "Checking for downloadable content" message. The game is stuck displaying that message...I can't get rid off it and I can't access the ME3 menu. Any ideas why ? I have ME PS3 since the first day it came out and have been playing it quite a lot and today is the first the with the problem...

Ok I found the problem, when I turn on PS3 and then play MP with another game, and then quick and run ME3 I get that crappy message. If I start my PS3 and go straight to ME3 then I don't have the problem. I just verified it, loaded GT5 logged into PSN then quit the game and loaded ME3...bingo...the same problem again. Power off/on my PS3 again went straight to ME3...and no problem. Definitely a bug with ME3, well at least there is now a work around.

I don't play MP in any other game.

My workaround = when the start screen comes up, wait 30 seconds before pressing start. This allows the game to check the DLC before it gets to the main menu. This works 100% for me. If I don't wait, I will 80% of the time get the message that don't go away.

not necessarily true. i do the same thing. i wait 30 seconds before i press start and it still check for DLC regardless.

My workaround = "sign out" PSN account & "sign in" back right after

I just start the game offline to begin with. Don't have the problem unless signed in before starting game up.
