You shouldn't need to do anything really. If DAO is registered and you have the Blood Dragon armour for that, the servers should pick that up and it becomes unlocked for ME2. You shouldn't need to do anything. Of course, that only applies to buyers of the game when new, so technically any buyer of a secondhand copy would have this denied to them.
Still, it's a minor thing so I would expect EA support to be able to resolve it easily enough should you wish to contact them.
