same here... I got lucky with my Saber... I have it up to lvl 2... its myonly ultra-rare and I don't even have all rares yet... just pure luck...

that said... the rifle is pretty good... with the new adrenalin rush buff on human soldier... this thing kills... 1 shot headshots of non-armored enemies it seems... only beef I have with it is that it is TERRIBLE for taking down shields... takes me like 5-6 shots to get through geth shields on gold... after that its 2-3 shots with AR even to the body...

its one of those rifles that you just gotta know how to aim and get the timing right... if you get it down right, it kills... I played 2 gold matches with it today... was leading the group as a human soldier... killer rifle... LOVE it...

oh yea... also... it burns through ammo like there is no tomorrow and since its an ultra-rare it is very hard to upgrade to a decent size and the clip upgrade is not too useful sinceit doesnt add spare ammo... but rather just extends the clip size... useful but I would rather take extra spare ammo over it... make sure you are close to ammo...

Anyway I have a Saber I but I thiiink my Carnifex IV is better...definitely is if you compare damage to weight value. It is a cool gun though, looking and sounding wise. If I had it levelled up to like a IV or something I think it could be potentionally awesome on an Asari Justicar with the AR weight reduction.

Try using it on a Turian Sentinel specced for stability and lower AR weight, and the weapon is a beast. Modded with a scope and barrel it behaves like a sniper rifle with 8 shots in the clip - its able to 1-shot mobs on Silver and close to on Gold.

Mine is mk.3 btw... I would kill for a mk.10 version of it.

That would be an... odd combo. My guess is that you'll find it gimping your stile more than anything else. I'd suggest using the GPS instead.

Ya I haveit at III too, and while i want to like and use it, my carn X is so much more useable, with its low/no recoil and much better fire rate. Equiped with the EB, the carn X does more damage than the base III saber anyway. The CarnX is awesome, imo

I do have the Talon (II), but can't really imagine whyI would want to use it.... Whats the appeal?

It's nothing really to write home about, It's got good damage but the weight of it is a bit of a dealbreaker imo

Like I said, I changed my mind. Probably more than a bit.

The Talon is fun. Its range means the Saber and Paladin are more usefull overall... but man is the talon fun short to short-mid range.

It's basically a lighter, 4 shot wraith with a higher fire rate. Couple that with cloak or adrenaline and wow. Short range monster. Probably king of short range.

Too bad the paladin can equal that with enough skill at ALL ranges.

I was where you are earlier in the thread. Based on what people had been saying about the Talon, I gave it another shot with an open mind.

Use it anywhere you would normally use a shotgun. You will see the appeal.

Been using the Mattock X since the last Gold Weekend Op. I mostly aim my shots, unless I'm in a panick and suddenly my trigger finger was borrowed from a spaghetti western. So i figured since its like this AR-Sniper hybrid it would work for me.

It is just a matter of luck as everything else, I'd like to try the BW and I don't have it but I got the Saber at VIII (I like it BTW).

Meh. It just sucks that it seems impossible to obtain. Earlier while I was playing with some friends, one person got their first Saber, and a few matches later, another person got their Saber IV.

My Saber I is officially super sexy on my Geth Infiltrator. He can kill Ravagers before they can even get one shot off. He can headshot troops through the scenery And with Hunter Mode on whilst Cloaked headshots and follow up suppressing fire is g*ddamn fantastic. Its just f*ckin' amazing. It makes me feel like Rambo hiding underwater then popping up and just unloading on the enemy.

Then as I'm reloading I hit cloak, which cancels the reload animation and now I'm locked and loaded and INVISIBLE to do it alllllllllllllllll over again.

yea I know how you feel. When i first started every 1 got the saber around me but never me. Till I was at 2000 N7 rank. You will get it, it might just take time.

I compare the killing speed to that of the Mattock. But if you're good at headshots prepare for sexy good times.

I suck at quick aiming, so any slow-firing weapon with the small clip is not for me. But scoped Saber with its 10-bullet clip is quite good substitute, especially when playing GI. Too bad it's almost useless in close combat. Also, i haven't noticed any significant recoil in aiming mode. (P.S. gladly trade my BW for another Saber level or two - i've been surprisingly unlucky in unlocking the rare / u-rare weapons.)
