Just unlocked it yesterday and love it. I used it on a solo bronze run wiith my Batarian soldier and it worked like a charm. Saber for long to mid-range, ballistic blades for when troopers (and phantoms) get too close. Perfect combo. Super accurate and plenty of power. I don't know why so many people hate it.

1. yes, it's possible to get....no, it's not based off anything....you just have get lucky, just like with any weapon/character cause of of how the store is setup....also, you dont have to get PSPs to get it, i got mine outta a regular spec. pack....

2. if you listen to this board, all ARs suck lol...ignore that foolish talk, they dont....the saber is a great gun

3. it works on more characters then a turian...i dont know why people think the turian is one of the only characters that can handle a 'difficult' weapon....i put difficult in quotes cause a lot of the guns labeled difficult/hard to use on this board arent...


...dont give up, you'll get one eventually...when you do, have fun, cause the saber is a lot of fun....

After opening literally countless Specter Packs and Premium Specter Packs since the day the game came out, I still have yet to receive the Saber. I've players as low as N7 100 with Sabers...hell, a few nights ago, I saw an N7 200something with a Saber IV. I realize that your level does not matter when it coms to unlocking ultra rares, but it kinda sucks that someone less than half of my level has the weapon I've wanted since day one, let alone rank IV of the weapon I've wanted since day one.

tl;dr - I want the Saber. People lower level than me have the Saber. My luck has always been sh*tty, so I'll never obtain the Saber. I am butt-hurt...because Saber.

Its a good sharp shooter weapon, I use it on my Human Soldier when I am not hosting the game, put a scope Mod on it and work as a pocket infiltrator if there isnt one or to support the infiltrator if there is one. 

Pair it with a decent shot gun, CS and Frags and you are effective at all ranges with crowd control capabilities

I use my Saber II on my HS exclusively, and I can 100k with her on Gold. The gun is extremely useable with the right build.

It dies require equipment bonuses to be this effective, though. But with the new perma-equip packs you shouldn't have a problem.

AR rail and Ammo type. Easy money.

Got the saber at level 2 but i rather had a BW, i feel your pain. Freakin trollstore

On gold I use my saber iii on my human soldier but any weapon rocks on my human soldier.

you dont have BW either, n based on your manifest, looking at othe N7 lvl's its ok, just keep playn. I didnt get my scorpion til all N7's(cept indra) were above 3(i even had my wraith 6 already). hang in there

To put it simply, OP, yes... but you'll wish you got something useful, like a Valiant or BW or even an Indra.

I just used it on a Silver match with my Krogan Sentinel and got 2nd place. It's an OK gun but not for Gold.

Sorry if I offend anyone or sound like I'm bragging... I just opened a Spec Pack 1-match ago and got the Saber I... Have yet to test it and see how it fares.

...Some players just don't get that there are certain class/race that's good against certain factions and not all -.-'' I like being "sucky" anyway, if it meant playing game for fun

I find its a good weapon for support classes with no real reliance on cooldowns.

My Geth Engie only uses Overload when necessary as his turret does all the heavy lifting. So the Sabre is PERFECT for wearing down heavies (Atlases/Brutes/Primes) or offing annoyances (Turrets/Ravagers/Pyros)

i have saber VI but i never used it since i am mainly use asari adapt...and never really use a soldier class i really want my paladin to be that high but i only got it to II

I've pulled UR weapon cards 4 times - three Sabers

I used to resent it. Then I put Saber III on Turian Soldier this weekend. Cleans house on Bronze, decent on Silver. On Bronze it can double tap mooks from the Dagger tower all the way to the spawn points, or across the sunken area of Ghost. And unlike SRs, it's equally powerful from the hip. For Gold, I don't know, haven't tried yet.

Blah...I've opened probably 15'PSP's today and have gotten the same thing I always - character customization cards. 

Quite aggravating, to say the very least.

After I don't know how many PSP's, I've managed to acquire both the Sabre and the BW - level 1 only.  IMHO, the Sabre is far more useful. 

And you can get it - I'm guessing that between Commendation packs and PSP's, I probably went through about 45 -50 before finally getting the Sabre.  It is worth the effort.
