I have it at level 1. If I put a scope on it, it's kind of like a too-heavy Viper X. I don't use it much. Though it does have a manly firing sound to it.

If you put a scope on it, you basically have a weapon good for all ranges.  I roll with scope and barrel on it.  Tried briefly Saber I on human soldier when I first got it, and the recoil was beastly, but this weekend when I gave Saber III to turian soldier with maxed stability it was godly.

If you don't have turian, or you prefer running a different class, and recoil is still an issue, the stability mod might help.

I'll gladly trade you my Saber V for a Javelin.

Up until yesterday, I was only missing the Scorpion and Javelin for ultra rares. Unlocked the Scorpion, completely underwhelmed.

Well - not exatly weapons I like much. Perhaps I should try with turian.

GPS, Graal , Carnifex - thats the main course.

Honestly, I find the Saber the best weapon on my Turian Soldier. I have it on VI now, it rocks. I honestly prefer it over any sniper.

I have a Saber II. Would trade for a Black Widow II or Talon II. I never use it.

using it on VIII with my Justicar because I mainly play biotics and I want to use up some of the consumables that are not for pistols.

The Saber is great if you aren't worried about cool down powers and can aim. I tend to use scope and barrel mod. Even on Gold it can chew through a Geth Prime pretty quickly if you can keep nailing head shots. On Gold, I usually run it with disrupter ammo because the slow rate of fire makes it tough to take down shields and then an assault rifle rail amp. If you can convince a buddy to run cyro ammo to slow down the Primes it makes it a lot easier to hit them in the face-lights over and over. With ballistic blades and inferno grenades for crowd control you can concentrate on the big enemies.

Don't feel bad. It's only worthy of it's rarity in the hands of a soldier with Adrenaline Rush. Every other class would do better with a different gun. And if you really like the "feel" just equip a decent heavy pistol. It's the same idea... and the heavy pistols are usually better balanced.

Ahhh, I know! I keep opening Prem. SP's, and I just keep getting random weapons that I personally don't care to use (such as Revanent and Falcon). I don't really even get characters or stuff...it's usually just those two weapons. Maybe now and then a good weapon upgrade or something else, but for the most part meh.

Trust me, you do not want a saber.Your paladin II is about 3 times better and lighter.

I hear your pain. The store likes a certain weapon for you. For me it's the scorpion. I now have scorpion X but only recently got the talon, which is still only 1. I hope my new store preferred ur is the paladin or sabre 6 & 4 respectively.

I love the sabre on my soldiers. I have become very proficient at head shots with it. No good for cqc but that is was ballistic bladEd are for anyway.

I actually obtained the Saber earlier tonight...without even realizing it. It was one of those moments where I bought a PSP and the host left at the same time.

It took me two games to realize I had unlocked it. Pretty astounding, to say the least.

Made me and my cousin chip in countless hours of game time to get enough credits to get "lucky" and even get the weapon. I just hate how the luck system works, 94% of the 2 "rares" from the PSP are character cards.....

Wraith X on the other hand, is totally worth it.
