Out of simple curiousity can anyone confirm whether its the prescence of Balak (the Batarian from Bring Down the Sky) that triggers the line about human patients being murdered and an alliance troop transport being sabotaged during the "Citadel: Batarian Codes assignment"?

Thanks

If your talking about the second or third termina you have to hack in the normandy shuttle bay, I'm pretty sure i got that line of dialouge without doing BDTS in ME1.

hmmm...am just wondering whether its a bug or not. The wikia says complete BDTS should reveal that the information is used to help the Batarian fleet vs Balak just being a jerk...

Thanks anyway

Could you confirm whether or not he was still a jerk? (aka: sabotaging life support and crashing an alliance troop transport)

I believe it is him. And...he's still a jerk but after the use of paragon in the conversation he becomes an ally and potential post-game (about that...) friend. I'm glad I saved him, to be honest. All the characters you interact with live in the end.

i saved balak, but killed that  guy that was trying to bait me into letting him go when he hadthose people traped ina room with a bomb hell i paragoned his ass but he still wouldnt let them oout he had to die. balak on the other hand i  let him walk , yes he does have appearence in the game he also helps you by giving you the batarian fleet for letting him  go

You realise that Balak and 'the guy trying to bait you into letting him go' are the same person, right?

As for the news reports Balak always does that stuff to get back at humanity, but yes you can turn him into an ally.

I've played the whole ME trilogy five times already, and I'm sure, I killed Balak two times at least. Nevertheless he always is alive in ME3. Bug? Anone can confirm that?

I don't have any DLC for ME1, but Balak always showed up in my games (in this case it is assumed nobody stopped him and he succeeded in "bringing down the sky"). I have been told that there is a problem where if you killed him in ME1 he still shows up in ME3 from a trustworthy source.

to avoid spoliers its the guy from BDTS if u didnt kill him ofc, and depending on how u handle the situation u can get rid of him, or get the batarian hegemony's support.. why is this in ME3 MP?

Unless you outright kill Balak using the neutral dialogue in the conversation in ME1, he's still alive.

Thanks.
I can't remember it now, but I probably left him for die (renegade choice). So, I suppose, he recovered...

this happened to me...I know I killed him on my main Shep...and there he was again.

If you spare Balack in ME1, he is the one behind the sabotage of Human technology and equipment on the citadel.

If you kill Balack in ME1, he is replaced by a random batarian upset over the events of the Arrival and the initial Reaper Assault on his home planet.

In ME3, you can spare or kill the batarian and he becomes a war asset or he stays dead, very dead.
