No. In fact, I wish we had a chance to throw the body out the airlock the moment it started having a seizure. Really Bioware? Did we really need a naked robot as a squadmate instead of a more deserving character such as Grunt? <_<

Sigh, at least I could refuse Allers access to the ship.

I tend to agree. I liked her as a character and as a squadie. I'm just shocked that some people took the time to look at her robo bits long enough to notice she had them. Heh, I didn't even notice until people pointed it out. Honestly, I don't care about that. I'm not pervy enough to notice robo bits. :P
.

I also didn't notice the cameltoe until it was pointed out on the forum, but I did notice that she was highly sexualized. She was wearing a catsuit and was built like Miranda. Her writing and voice acting were a lot better than her character design, IMO.

I understand that she should be attractive, since she is designed for infiltration, and is a potential love interest for Joker. But they should have toned it down and made the character design less overtly 'sexbot.'

to crosspost from reddit, I would have liked EDI a lot better in a body like this rather than the austin powers fembot.  A different appearance than the ridiculous fanservice we got could have steered the writers toward a better development of her growing individuality and sentience, instead of the rather cliche "teach me how to be human and love" route her character arc took at times.

Now that would of been interesting if she was placed into something such as that, rather than a body which was so fan service it was not funny.

I liked having EDI along as a squadmate. It was quite fascinating to see her grow and evolve as a character now that she could actually physically interact with the world. She's currently useless on my current Engineer Shepard playthrough, but I used her on just about every single mission on my Vanguard.

I like Edi as a character, hell I dont even mind the whole body thing. I think thats an interesting bit of character development.

In no way though do I like her as a squad mate. It would have been cool if she transfered her consciousness between bodies, the lifelike one that we have, and then perhaps a more battle ready tank body or something for the battlefield.

Still, I dont think she is a great presence on the battlefield. I would have much preferred to have Legion again, and on the topic of legion, having him as a squadmate would in turn probably make it so that there is a chance you are able to save both him and Tali on that Rannoch mission.

Legion is infinitely more cool.

I liked her at first, but in the end, I would've preferred having someone else as a squadmate. She's fine as a character, but I didn't find her useful in the battlefield. I would've preferred anyone else over her as a squadmate to be honest. I also found her to be quite bland as a character.

I really liked his character arc and enjoyed having her in my super-duper-engineer team along with Engineer Shep and Tali.

She is awesome, I really enjoyed talking to her about her purpose and how she should upgrade herself. She is also handy while fighting, with her incinerate and defense matrix powers.

The beauty of Mass Effect is that you can customize the squad it the way you like so there is no consensus of who was most like, disliked squadmate.

I chosed my squadmates based who I wanted to see on a mission,

some here chosed 3 squadmates and just stuck with those squadmates for every mission.

I pick my squad based on the mission and if my squadmates have extra dialogue or comments unique to that mission, I bring them along.

In general? Yeah, liked what was done with her. Minded that her every other line clashes catastrophically with the ending to the point where Shepard should have had a "get EDI on the phone" option to have her explain to the Catalyst how wrong he is; but this is a sign that she was better written than the ending... which is a phrase we can apply to any part of the game unrelated to Urth, actually.

The fembot issue? Jack put it best with the "sexbot" line =) Sure, she didn't have a wide range to pick from, but it speaks volumes of TIM that the first humanoid robot that isn't a clanker like the LOKI or a monster like the YMIR or ATLAS is a sexbot =)

In combat? She's useful as she can draw enemy fire, both with Decoy and her own shielding, and she has Overload, which is a boon to most biotic classes on Insanity.

I liked her. Her 'padding' was a bit distracting, though. ;)

This.

Honestly EDI should have been as deadly as a Phantom.

no worse than vega, kaiden, or ashley

Vega: Unnecessary addon
Ashley/Kaiden: A pale comparison to their former selves.

Rather have Zaeed, at least he had more conversation ("firing an impact shot").

ME3 is full of holes. Character development being only one among many.

EDI was interesting character after what I found out about her by what she did as a AI.

I disagree,
Vega was developed for the newcommers, and it's good having him around sometimes to recap the things. Maybe a future spin-off is planed with Vega as the main characters perhaps.

Ashley (haven't played with Kaiden) had a proper cameo (if you take into account all the characters introduced in ME2 they had to take off some time of ME1 squadies)

Ragarding EDI: I think the people would complain if she was just an NPC, but not squadmate. She gives more insight as an AI who is becoming humanized. Thus, it dwelves more in the philosophy of a 'living being'. I think it was very good developed and executed. And you have her also in the combat (for the sake of gameplay)

Just my 2 cents.

Yeah, I like EDI as a squadmate and I use her rather often. She's useful, when you play as an adept anyway, and her dialogues are rather fun, most of them anyway.

Meh. EDI as squadmate was just pointless.
