Everyone:
Premium Spectre Packs are killing my PS3, just as the title line indicates. When I go to purchase one, my machine winds up frozen on the "Checking for outstanding purchases" screen. And, here's the kicker: Bioware is taking my real money and *not* providing the goods I've purchased.
What do you have to say to defend yourself Bioware? Or is this Sony's fault? Or a combination of the two? Either way, your companies are taking my money and *not* providing promised goods. But, let me guess, all those "fine print" agreements I had to electronically sign to use the PSN (oops, I mean SEN) and Bioware servers clears your companies of any responsibility. Yet, mine money winds up in your accounts.
Helluva racket, I say. It makes the banks look like rank amateurs.

BioFail wont respond lol everybody has had the same issue without a responce so the only thing i can say is to stop using real money to buy anything that the game offers.

That's pretty much what I've decided to do. But here's the odd thing: I never had this problem until the last update came out.

Yes. Ok. I want to spend real money because I don't have the time and frankly the ability to earn lots of credits for the better weapons that help my playing. Since last week I keep getting an error message and it says some of my purchases weren't successful. I called my bank, they don't have a block on anything. I called Sony. They told me its an INTERNET PORT issue. I got a router, and plugged in the port numbers the Sony rep gave me. Still doesn't work. I can purchase things going to Play Station Home, but if I try to buy packs within ME3, I can't. I wish I could figure out the problem. It was working up until the 9th of this month, then it would make me reboot the game to get my purchases each time, then it totally stopped working.

To me the real issue is the overall design of the game. ME3 is the only game on my shelf with this many transaction issues. Keep in mind that EA is notorious for their DRM stance and that could be a major reason why things have been lacking for us PS3 users. Sony PSN, itself, is DRM and maybe EA/Bioware doesn't want to go thru PSN/Sony just like everyone else.
It might come down to money, control, or both. Maybe Sony charges companies to go thru PSN and EA/Bioware wants sole control, which is why Sony blocked the promos... it's all my opinion but doesn't seem farfetched. ME3 is the ONLY game i've seen on the PS3 that downloads updates thru EA and not PSN. All my other games prompt for an update, which is downloaded thru PSN and not the developer.
Sorry for the off topic issue... had to get that off my chest.
As for the purchases with real money or error, it has been documented many times since the game has launched. So far no updates or solution to people losing in game credits and real money. There is a huge thread of complaints on the PC technical support and Xbox forum.
