awesome ! thanks on behalf of all femsheppers! Personally I hope you'll focus on maleshep soon: the face, the tattoos and the cerberus implants are what I'm looking forward and they look SO GOOD.

also, for some reason it feels like maleshep's voice is more suited for your (older) shep the the original sheploo.. :P

Hmm... So today I was checking textures from ME2 to see if it had any compatibility. The good news is that the face portion matches the UV so, some of my Head Enhancement MOD can be migrated. What sucks is that I just found out that some of the characters actually have higher resolution textures than ME3. From what I checked Illusiveman, Miranda, Ash is higher. While it was good to know but kind of a setback for me as I spent so many hours resizing and adding details to the ME3 low-res textures. I guess I have to go back to ME2 and grab any usable texture that is higher and eventually rework on the revisiting casts... -_-

ME2 for the PC had noticeably higher resolution textures than ME3 has. It's kinda disappointing, for me at least.

In some places, ME3 takes the cake because they fixed most of the textures and models. For instance, look at the scientist suit in ME1/2 and then look at it ME3. I'd do a port of that into the older games but they changed the entire mapping of the textures...

Yeah, some of the textures in the older games *were* very low-res and out of place, and they did make most things a bit more visually consistent in ME3 despite most major textures being lower resolution than in the PC port of ME2.

Still a little annoyed at not giving ME3 PC users any real improved visuals though (besides potentially game resolution.)

But I repeat myself. \\o/

Oh, dude, thanks so much for this EDI texture fix. It may not be 'interesting', but it's definitely necessary lol. This is one I'll be using every time I play.

You're very welcome. ;)  This must the first thing I noticed when I played ME3 initially. I suppose this mod is an alternative for those who prefer the authentic look, so I focused only on restoring the details.

Doooo want. I think I really want to use the Mark texture for my CanonShep. He'd just look extremely badass. Will it be possible to get the Mark texture anytime soon?

Head Enhancement MOD should be release in few days. (I hope)
Appreciate the interest and the support and I'm working on them to get the best result.

-----------------------------------------------------
On the other notes for my MOD users.
I would love to hear users response over my Hair-Line mod, because I recieved over 100 downloads the other day but haven't heard much response, so I'm not even sure if it's working or causing problem. ^-^;

Before I forget, Scar Pack 1 is released today, it at the OP. This is experimental and need some feedback if anyone encounter a problem. (Cause I'm doing something a bit different from the usual TEXMOD-ing.)

Anyway have fun!

Scars are sexy... But I don't plan to start a new playthrough anytime soon since I'd need to complete ME1 and ME2 first. Maybe I test them in the Earth prologue, I probably remember every line by heart since I tested those hair mods there too. Off we go!

Commander Erik Shepard reporting for duty, Madame.

I used the last gibbed and followed the instructions in the readme files, scars are working great as you can see in the picture and I really love the "eyebrow cut" effect.

also haircut is working and good looking.

my shep had the centurion face preset, using the scar preset somehow took away the lights from the centurion face but kept the black parts.

I like the result, good job ! seriously looking forward the cerberus implants and face enhancements :)

First off sorry that this is happening.
Hmm, you know I've got the same effect during my testing. (I tested every textures.)
It seems like sometimes, TEXMOD fail to replace the texture.
Can I ask you which 'scar_x.tpf' you applied on this? I like to figure out this problem.
As you can see on my screenshots, they work under my situation and I used the exact same files in the archive.

Glad I put "experimental" to this mod (as it has flaws) and appreciate reporting back lieutenant! :)

PS: delete scar_x.tpf from texmod loading list and then opening the tpf again and bring the texture to the top of the listing might change something. (Just a speculation)

Ooops SORRY! I totally miss read your comment. This MOD is using part of Centurion Face texture that's been used for glow+diffuse. I made this choice because we only see the face once during the MARS mission (as I recall). I detemined it was less influencial than replacinh renegade glowing scar. (However It's one alternative to use that instead, but I don't know the code for 'HED_Face_Alignment_Emis' of renegade scar.) I guess use can decide which is better, sacrifice Centurion's Face glow or Renegade Scar.)

no apologies needed, as I said I actually like the result.. I thought scars wouldn't even work on the centurion face or that the scar preset would just completely replace the centurion one, but appearently they can coexist. (with one minor side effect :) )

I'm using scar_3 by the way

as a matter of fact I don't think it's your mod's fault, I think it's due to the centurion face thing.

scars textures look very good anyway, kudos !

oh ok, no problem..

so now I have to ask : how can I switch back to the ordinary non-centurion face but using renegade scars + your scar ?

I think I'm going to wait on my PC playthrough until you get the Head Enhancements done... I really want to combine both to see how good they look. :D

EDIT: How long would a "few days" be? Because I'm really, REALLY excited to begin this playthrough with your mods.

I can't seem to get scar 1 to work.  I already tried removing other face mods (eyes and eyelashes) and putting the scar 1 file on top of the mod list but it still didn't work.  Scar 2 works fine.  I still haven't tested scar 3.  I'll try it out tonight when I get back home.

Here's what I got...

*pic removed*

Edit: Fixed. Removed image.

Thanks for reporting back and sorry for this problem. I'll look into to this and try to figure out what's going on.
As I've mentioned above, I do upload "checked" file, so this problem may be due to some texture format incompatibility via TEXMOD. Because I've had few incedents where TEXMOD would show strange behavior)

While I sort this problem, can you check the following?
(May want to exit TEXMOD once and relaunch it again.)
1. Remove scar_x.tpf from texmod list and then load it again.
2. Move scar_x.tpf  to the top of the loadingf list.

your natural hairline mod works perfectly for me, outside of the known fact that it isn't really suited for lighter hairtones.  i've tried each hairstyle in-game and had no issues with any of them.

as for the new scar textures, i know for sure that at least scar #3 works perfectly so far on my shepard (he's outfitted with your male shep skin texture, made man hair style, and scar #3 -- no mods outside of those).  really awesome mod, by the way.  i've been missing my shep's scars since ME1.

The Centrion make up is inreversible once applied and saved. (It's part of gibbed's preset, so it seems to add quite a different changes to your save.) One solution would be to export HEADMORPH from earlier save and then IMPORT ii to your save. (Then reapply my scar preset)

Thanks for the feedback. It's good to know that my Hair-line mod is at least working well.I've just updated my Scar Mod, so that it uses different texture format. This will slightly improve the texture quality and maybe the compatibilty with TEXMOD.

NOTES TO ALL THREAD FOLLOWER:
Have anyone tried uMOD (open source)? This one is suppose to be the next TEXMOD. (Attempt to support DX10/11 generation games.) So far I personally had no luck with ME3, could be because of Origin version. I really like this one to work because it support templates and can store the lists of textures to load.

Great, thanks for reporting back. Now I know which format works better on the scars. :)
