I don't either.  Especially since in a conversation just before he asks you to your tent, he quotes poetry to you to cheer you up.  OK, it's bad Antivan sex poetry, but that just seems to fit the character all the more (and he acknowledges it's bad)!

I loved that part. I was seriously stuck between an epic-facepalm and laughing myself to tears. I found it rather adorable >.>

Its a damn shame when a character is liked merely because of his sexuality(most of his praise is about how hot he is and that hes bisexual).

Maybe Im more insesitive to this issue considering I live in the uk(where gay male relationships are the only real homsexual content we get on tv. Tv shows that contain lesbians are rare), but to me this isn't really a great stride foward for homosexuality.

I am a bit confused.  You have a problem with gay people being glad about a gay character being hot? Why??

BTW, his hotness is not at all why I said I liked him in my original post.  I went to great lengths to talk about the depth of the relationship, but other people enjoying his hotness is perfectly fine with me.  And I DO happen to think he is hot.  Why does that bother you?  And why does our enthusiasm about his sexuallity bug you so much?

With all due respect, I AM *very* enthusiastic that we have a chance to have a male/male relationship in our game and I am *not* ashamed of that fact at all and never will be and I simply cannot imagine why this would be a "damn shame" for you.  Mass Effect had a lesbian romance but not a gay male one, as did Knights of the Old Republic, so that is one of the smaller reasons why this was important to me, though this was important to me for years before Mass Effect was even released.   What in your opinion would be a better stride forward then, if indeed you are in favor about things being more equal for gays in video games?  I myself don't live in the UK and do not watch your TV shows, though I was once interested in watching Torchwood.  But we really aren't discussing equality in TV shows here, we are discussing equality in video games, role playing games in particular.  Anyway, I hope you are having a nice Holiday Season.  :)

Edit: Spelling error and wanted to expand a sentence or two.

I think it's a bit over the top to have four bisexual characters in your party.

/agree

I'd much rather have more defined characters (and as I see it that includes distinct preferences) and fewer choices, than have NPCs designed to romance any PC. Bisexuality works with Zev and could with other characters, but I'd much rather there were separate gay and straight romances than have romanceable characters whose design was constrained (in terms of both story and psychology) by the need for the romance to work regardless of PC gender. If that means fewer straight males for my female characters to romance, so be it.

I don't have anything profound to add to this discussion, but I adore Zev. If I have any complaint at all about him, it's that you can't kiss him in public. Amusingly enough, I have yet to romance him with any of my female characters, though. All of my male characters to date except for one have romanced only Zev. I love men and don't at all mind seeing two of them kissing or making out.
I also don't care to romance Morrigan or Leliana now that I've gotten the achievement for doing so, because as a straight female it feels more natural for me to use flirt lines on and make my characters be involved with only men. So, not only is Zev charming and amusing, but he's a good solution.

I´ll put it in Sten´s terms: no.

Nevara (if you live there you know that Navarra is a real place) is the kingdom based on the Iberian ones. Sorry but I refuse to say "medieval and Spain" in the same sentence. Castile, Aragon, Navarra, Portugal or Granada/any other Taifa or muslim dominion; but not Spain.
Nevertheless, if you read the codex about Nevara, the clues about it being based upon Iberian kingdoms are incredibly evident: from the dragon slaying thing (Don Quijote, Amadís de Gauala and other novel) to his brutally elaborated toombs and pantheons where the local andrastean cults do not cremate, but bury (and that is Counter-Reform style of the Baroque).

Antiva is inspired by the Kingdom of the Two Sicilys in particular and the Italian republics and duchies in general. The Crows are a guild of thugs that may remind you of the mafia.

Might want to check your facts before you go all Sten on someone.

The Kingdom of Nevarra in Thedas shares a similar name with Navarra, but the inspiration doesn't come from there at all. That's a supposition entirely on your part, and if there's any similarities between the two places they're coincidental.

Antiva is inspired by the northern Italian city-states, Venice in particular, but not the Kingdom of the Two Sicilys.

None of the Thedas nations are directly analogous to anything in medieval history, nor are they meant to be, but I think I can be pretty certain where their inspirations were drawn from.

Well, if they are really inspired in South Italy and iberian Reigns in the end of Dark ages and the like, both italian and Cataluña or Castilla was under the same lords, and share most of his commerce and culture in those ages.. so I call that an even Xd
