A warning to anyone experiencing strange bugs...

I should've read this thread first: http://social.biowar.../index/114380/8

Ran the toolset twice. Did everything the Wiki said to create a simple new module. Never opened or edited the single player module, or the campaign. At most I spent an hour in the program. The most complicated thing I managed to do was paint some cobble.

Now, Dragon Age the game has more bugs than a backalley Vegas mattress.

Any saved game worth keeping is now polluted and ruined. Conversations don't work, scripts are corrupted, the party camp is messed up, there's strange lag and longer loading times...

-sigh- I really don't have the time or desire to start the single-player campaign over again. Also, I imagine any new game will become just as broken in time. The whole thing is just sad, and I hope posting this will prevent anyone else from losing their characters and game time.

It's bizarre that Bioware would release such a nasty, corrupt Toolset. Experiencing this puts some serious doubt into the integrity of the company, in my opinion.

I plan on rolling up on Bioware's headquarters in my vibro-chair and launching some half-eaten high-velocity hot pockets at their windows. Anyone who'd like to join, BYOB. Thanks.

So what do I do if I want to start a new game? Any new save will be full of corrupt scripts or something, I guess. Do I need to totally uninstall?

try the fix for "strange issues" in the stickied Troubleshooting FAQ... it won't necessarily fix your old saves but should correct the problem in new games (and any uncorrupted save files)
