Every couple minutes my friggen game pauses and shows this error message.  Here's a screen shot...

Posted Image

I am logged in on the main game page but once I load my save and start playing it must disconnect for some reason.  I have the newest patch, use the newest internet explorer on a cable internet connection and went into the config and did the firewall setting.

I run Vista 64bit on a powerful PC and the game runs great except for this one issue.  I've read through the forums but don't seem to see anything that answers this.

Sorry if this has been fixed in a thread that I havn't seen, but can someone throw me a bone here as it's annoying as all hell.  Posted Image

Well that's an awefully small screen shot for some reason? LOL. Anyhow the error message is what the name of the topic is and that's what is in the center of the pic.

Is there a way to make this site not log me out? Like an "always stay logged in" setting?

I don't see it in the settings for this website. Isn't this the problem?

Do you have any DLC, and if so, does it so work??

Dead Link Check? Is that DLC? Where would I look for that? Internet Options?

I get this problem too. It is rather frequent. I do have the DLC(Downloadable Content). But as my friend said when I mentioned this problem to him, "Did you expect a Bioware game not to have a lot of bugs?"

I have the Stone guy and the blood armor download and they work fine.

It looks as if I keep getting timed out?

Same problem here. I'm running Vista 64bit, on a high end machine, with cable connection and latest patches. The message is popping up every 5-10 minutes and is most annoying during battles.

All of my DLC is running fine, but it did have a bit of difficulty in the initial download and install of DLC.

I am having the same problem, running Vista 32bit. My connection is fine and all my dlc is working it just appears to be when it is trying to update character information and upload screenshots.

I turned all the upload features off through the options menu, and I still get the message.

Not sure if this will help this issue, but some AntiVirus programs need to be told to trust the Bioware site(s). I have CA and had to physically enter the Bioware address just to get on the social net. I had already downloaded all of the available DLC, so it was odd to find this was the case. Anyway, hope this helps.

My problem is solved!!!! It turned out to be the router. I updated the firmware on my Netgear WGR614 v4 router and it works just fine now.

Hmm, I'll check the firmware patch for my router.

Well my firmware is up to date (running dd-wrt) and I am only running Microsoft Security Essentials with Windows firewall. It is configured to let DA through and everything else looks fine. Any other ideas? I see a lot of threads on total connection issues but it doesn't seem this issue is very prevalent.

I have the same issue, getting the message "Unable to connect to Dragon Age servers. Please try again.". I'm logged in to the EA/BioWare, I get my achievements, my character info are uploaded along with screenshots and other stats. I downloaded the DLCs for the Deluxe Edition without issues, but that pesky message still appears, even in the game menu. I also run dd-wrt on my router and I've opened all ports relevant to Dragon Age. Getting very annoying when the popup appears every 10-15 minutes.

I even tried unchecking every option related to uploads in the options-menu, but it still doesn't solve it.

Anything, anyone?

90 Percent of all players seem to have encountered this problem.

Another problem which could have been solved if this game would have been properly tested for half an hour...

You can try these beta files http://supportfiles....nostic_beta.exe

The seem to have fixed my own connection to the server issues.

Thanks for the link, but didn't seem to do anything for me.
Tried running that, opening ports mentioned in manual (8000 TCP/8001 UDP), poking holes on software firewall etc. to no avail, still get all the server/online storage errors.

Small update.

I bought a new router today (unrelated) and I no longer have gotten any connection error messages. This would suggest it to be some sort of a slight NAT problem or similar as no other settings were changed.

Previous router was a Telewell TW-EA510v3, new one is an A-Link RR24AP.

Slight variation: at least twice I've received the "Unable to contact Dragon Age server" message and before I could click on OK to clear it, the game began loading a new location or scenario. This resulted in an endless "Loading..." message on a black screen. I had to exit out to Windows and kill the application from there. Very annoying.

This message is very annoying. I have been trying to figure out if it is a firewall problem, a router problem or a problem with Bioware servers. One thing I noticed looking at the router log is a message about timeout: -1 toredo. As I understand this is IPV6 trying to use IPV4. That really doesn't help me fix the problem but it is something to note. I also notice looking at the firewall log that some Inbound computer is blocked. Again that doesn't tell me anything because I have no idea what computer is being blocked, if it is being blocked all the time, or only when I get this annoying message. After all, you want mysterous inbound computers being blocked. I have read nowhere how to fix this problem. When it gets its most annoying, I simply log off of the bioware server and play the game without interruption. If anybody knows a real solution to this problem and not a speculative one, I would like to hear it. I thought about buying a new router, but the one I have is only a few years old and has been working fine. It is a D-Link Xtreme N Gaming Router. I don't believe this is a router problem as much as a bioware server problem or a firewall problem. Most of the solutions, i have read or tried do not work. It also occurs to me that the only time I see the toredo message is when I am linked to bioware server that has timeout. Those seem to be linked like two lovers in the night. I do wish it would go away without having to waste my time trying to figure out if it is some configuration problem or other.

It would be nice if BioWare cared enough about their customers to give us an answer to this problem...
