It would be nice if BioWare cared enough about their customers to give us an answer to this problem...
I agree. Does anyone know if a BioWare tech person ever read these forums?

I am having the problem since I go the same new router you mentioned. I just installed the router from the CD wizard, and I have not touched its configuration since everything else works just fine.Tremauss wrote...
I have been having this problem since I moved apartments, reinstalled the game, updated to 1.04, and then tried to play. I didn't have this problem the last time I was playing, some months ago. Win7 x64, D-Link DIR 615. I successfully have access to and have downloaded DLC, and a long time ago I told my account to not bother with uploading anything.<br />

I also encounter the issue where it tries to connect to servers at certain loading events, resulting in consistent game freezes that have to be force-quit. I was able to load an autosave to get past this, such as at the end of an origin story / beginning of Ostagar.

Well I found the so-called "round-up thread", but it does not address the issue about this nagging message, "Unable to connect to Dragon Age servers. Please try again".
For now, I have been able to playing without the NAGGING message by turn-off most online options, and not loggin-in at the start of game session. However, I am afraid that I eventually have to log-in since these are DRM servers which I may need to connect to when I play other DLCs. For now, it seems that the main campaign or quest is not affected by my not logging-in, but it may affect me later.
There are plenty of articles on the NET blaming Bioware/EA for not addressing promptly a similar problem back in April of this year. It seems we have the same story all over again. It is Bioware/EA resposability to address the issues with the servers. Otherwise, do not make games requiring DRM server to authenticate who has a legitimate copy of the game. It is absurd to do this with a single player game. This company needs to find a better solution to its PC game. I have this game for the Xbox 360, and I have very little problem it the Xbox version. I hope someone pays attention to the issues.

Please see the solutions round-up thread pinned to the top of this forum. It may or may not be your router. It is more likely an issue with something else in your setup. If you require further assistance or help with the directions in one of the solutions in the round-up thread, please see the read first before posting thread also pinned to the top of this forum.
See my post just below yours. Anyhow thanks.

It's not my damned router. I just got this game and I'm getting the same problem as the OP was --two years ago--. I get this all the time and also random disconnects from the multiplayer in ME3. Both games use EA's servers. No other game or program on any of my PCs or consoles has any problem like this at all.
This thread is 8 months old. The other one you resurrected is older than that. Respectfully, I doubt you're going to get a response from the OP.
You need to look over the first few threads pinned towards the top of the forum. If you cannot find answers there, then please refer to the "Read First" thread, which contains instructions on how to post information.
And please remember, official help is at help.ea.com. We're all gamers like you here; we're happy to try to help, but you'll need to provide the needed information and not assume we can guess anything about your specific situation.

P.S. and please leave old, moldering posts to die in peace.
