Does anyone else think DA3 will create Bioware's biggest backlash to date?

Besides as things stand a total outrage?
No.
Look at current works.
Reviewers love it? Yes
Long term fans hate it? Yes
Mainstream gamers like it? Yes.
So unless they really screw up and make two of the three mad, its while an outrage for us, not for them. In fact it becomes a juggle.
Do I want my smaller core base? Or this larger mainstream market?
The problem is neither wants the same thing in a game for the most. But meh I'm with the core group.

Doesn't DA2 have a lot less dialogue then Origins?
Edit: Google has the answer!
Dragon Age: Origins
1,000,000 Words
1,000 Cinematics
1,000 Characters
56,000 Spoken Lines
60 Hours of Gameplay
Dragon Age II
400,000 Words
2,500 Cinematics
500 Characters
38,000 Spoken Lines
40 Hours of Gameplay
I found DA2's combat to be much more challenging than DA:O. As a result, a single playthrough lasted much longer for me, around 160-170 hours, compared to ~90 hours for DA:O. (Played both on "nightmare" setting.)

I also found NM in DA2 much more difficult too, and the main reason my only full playthrough took around 70 hours (57 for Origins). However, NM in DA2 felt more like a "throw it in" than the devs taking their time with the difficulty balance, with the end result the best way to win 99% of the fights was run away from the enemy parachuting points, something that was no fun to me. Sadly it was the only setting with FF, which is a must for me. I just don´t get why they thought a toggle would be more than the average player can grasp.

Investigate doesn't count! ...aand I would dare say that the LI option is a "in your pants" choice, so the only morally ambiguous options are: *dun dun dun* a whopping: 3 -- because.. LOL 7? Count better.

Pretend that the image is the Connor scene. I was going to dig up a YouTube video.. but the site doesn't seem to be working for me. :[
Also, another good example are the camp dialogues where you only really have 1 chance to pick 1 out of 5 dialogues and your decision leads to a specific response. In the end, 5 REAL choices is still better than DA:2. I found them overall to be more thought provoking than DA:2 conflict, in general.
What you want to say is that the dialogue wheel locks the PC into only a single "good," "snarky," and "aggressive," options to resolve/move on from an interaction with an NPC. The dialogue wheel thus does not allow for multiple types of "good" responses which allows PCs to tailor responses better to what type of "good" character they are roleplaying, the dialogue wheel does not really allow for choices which aren't strictly "good," "snarky," and "aggressive," and the dialogue wheel doesn't really allow for ambiguous choices (i.e. one can be "good" but also "aggressive" at the same time).

Dude I so think you must have like gone to work and let the game run if you really played 170 hours.
I've played on Nightmare also Origins suffered from health bloating but so did DA2 but the enemy spam did prolong it but my longest playthrough is 50 hours in DA2.

My hours went up on characters since playing the DLC, so I am guessing this is the reason here. And I have well over 385+ hrs invested in four different characters; longest being the first listed at 124+ hrs. And I was playing on Hard at highest settings.
Simply because one cannot imagine themselves playing a game for that amt of time does not mean others are more invested into the gameplay.. And as one that is used to skipping thru dialogue, it is understandable why the longest play is listed at 50 hours; not triple digits like some others.

Please stop pulling **** out of your ass I never said I skipped dialogue in DA2. I said I skipped dialogue in THE OLD REPUBLIC. Completely different game and I have well over 200 hour playthrough in Origins but in DA2 obviously I don't.

Left my quote to indicate that I never said which game it was that had someone in the practice of skipping dialogue. As I do not make a prcatice of this myself, it seemed to be a reasonable conclusion.
Did not need to look there for info; only had to remember the other posts of one.....
