All I know is that we're not going to get anything but speculation and we'll disappoint ourselves going through this stuff. It's not helping us. We see a "leak" on twitter and it's "news", and it contradicts what we've heard elsewhere. Or we hear one thing on twitter from one person, then we hear something entirely different from someone else on twitter. I don't follow tweets.

I think people post **** there just to keep things stirred up some sometimes. I can't take anything I see there seriously. For example, I didn't know we were supposed to follow twitter to find out that certain characters were killed off. Why can't they do that stuff in the damned game? How much does it cost to have that news guy on the monitor mention one line about Emily Wong for example? Shoddy. Just shoddy.

So I'll know the truth about the EC when the EC comes out. That's the same with any of us. It's going to be one of the following: a) a big surprise that adds some fantastic content we weren't expecting at all. B) nothing but a clarification with some redone cutscenes and an epilogue talking through some closure that helps make sense out of what happened and ends the speculation depending upon what ending you chose and some of the choices you made. c) a big disappointment that does virtually nothing. d) something between b & c. I'm expecting anything from b through d. Don't get your hopes up for "a".

^^That would be the most logical outcome.

I actually think it's going to be a both A and B.

But mostly B.

Then they aren't paying attention.  It's not hard to see what is wrong with the ME3 endings and solutions are all these forums.

I have no doubt they listened.  They simply took all suggestions under consideration and rejected them as they have no reason to fix what they don't see as broken.

Oh, they care, that much I know. But who and in what capacity is the main issue here.

The implications are beginning to form in my head.

I HAVE seen this before.

But I can't be certain until the EC is released.

This reminds me of one of those "how to keep an idiot in suspense" jokes.

At best it allows one to always be able to say "I knew this would happen" no matter what happens.

What did happen is what you thought happened but not in the capacity that you thought it happened.

At least that's my opinion.

EA very much cares about money, but it would rather earn a steady stream over a course of many weeks than all at once and then very little.

And thus, multiplayer.

I've actually really enjoyed multiplayer, and from the point of view of the company it's been pure genius.  At first, I wasn't sure about it, but it's been a fun little timewaster.  It's also made ME3 terribly profitable.

My freind you are correct, this falls in line with EA's plans. Mass effect is supposed to be the next call of duty but only with microtransactions. Prepare to pay to reload your weapons soon.

And as the video cuts out he does say that it represenets a substantially better future for the industry!!!!

EDIT: for some reason my post isn't editing properly, I changed uneducated to correct but its not showing

I haven't paid a dime on the microtransactions. If it came to that, I have better things to do. Its the same reason I am one of the few earth people who don't have a cell phone.

neither have I, I do still have a basic cell phone though, it proved useful during hurricane Irene and the snotober storm so it does have its uses when trees take out hard lines, just make sure its as basic as you can get and you'll be fine.

hmm me thinks i'm getting banned, I posted about not paying microtransactions and that basic cellphones have there uses and my post was lost in cyberspace

EDIT: only to show up as a double post, Nice

EDIT2: EA hasn't released the numbers for that because it would make them look worst than they already are, they'll slip the numbers out during their next quarterly review i'm sure, Their trying to recover damage control due to the bleed effect, since it is now known that KOTOR has lost 400k subrscriber and their trying to say its all casual gamers, its a realy kick thats for certain. I also wouldn't be surprise if this is being done on purpose to drop the stock intentionally so the higher ups profit from short selling stock and then buy it as a low low number only to release information that makes them look really good, Its insider trading but its also harder to prove, since everyone profits no one is going to rat out the ruse but its been done before, Never forget about enron

Personally, the Multiplayer is good, its just that its come at the expense of the singleplayer mode.

Its a sad day when the thing you like most about a Mass Effect title is the multiplayer.

If the industry decides that this is where they want to go, then I have better things to do.

I've said this before, but they make a luxury product. I can easily live without it. If they really irritate me, there are LOTS of other activities I could be doing. This arrogance and entitlement from the major publishers should not be rewarded. If they really want to take the industry in this direction, then another crash is coming.

Taboo, I've had some concerns with some of the news and actions that have been coming out too. I have no connection to any sort of creative process, I'm looking at this from a purely business perspective. I've worked with enough businesses to know that what's been released to the public has some unpleasant undertones and implications. I look forward to your Monday post. I'm curious about whether your concerns mirror my own.

Well, its not so much that as the fact that every single console server is now a "rented" one, meaning that the incidence of idiot admins booting people for winning is going to go up dramatically, as will the amount of servers with 1500 tickets a side metro rush.

I don't even own BF3 and I can see that as a terrible thing, because the entire Beta was like that; Terrible.

It's good to see EA challenging Activision for video game's "Top Evil Corporation" award. Competition always brings out the best in people! :?

Bethesda and CD Projekt are becoming my last hope for MP free WRPGs. I was really looking forward to an internet connection so I could game online. I finally got here and it's a f***ing nightmare. I'm squarely in the haters of online gaming, now. What a joke.

Honestly, EA has already had that award, just that not many people recognised it. Started seeing it with Underground 2, since then NFS has been nothing more than average.

The thing is one of the benefits of the "online pass" that has been spruiked by EA was specifically to pay for server upkeep. Obviously it has shown its true colours as just another cash grab, not that no one called it before...

PS3 players, come play Killzone 3, much more enjoyable.

Honestly, sometimes I wonder if EA intends to commit business suicide or something. I certainly cannot see much business sense behind some of their recent press releases and actions. ^_^"
