Bit late to the party but I'll add Miike Takashi to the hat. He's made so many films that even though most of them are, charitably, awful, he's still made more great movies than most directors do in their lifetime. And they all do have stuff in common...

Ah yes........Mr Miike. I sure enjoy his aesthetic.

I really liked 13 Assassins. There's an action film with some philosophy behind it. But mostly just violence.

And more violence.

Actually what the problem is isn't malice. It's hubris but not in the capacity that I expected. Certainly not the Michael Cimino kind.

I finally found a analytical method to apply to the narrative though and that might help a bit. I can even apply it to the ending.

Yes, well I'll be cutting a bit deeper tomorrow. I'll apologize again for my vagueness of Friday. You'll have the whole story tomorrow, I'm still working on my notes and preparing things just because you asked for them. I wouldn't do this if I didn't care.

I saw a man who was in Mulholland Drive yesterday. Reality check. Nice to have that bring me back to the real world for a moment. Interesting thought while I watched him perform though. He does it because he loves it, not because he wants money. Something to think about.

No. I make enough money on set to do whatever I want. I own a small condo. It's not like I'm strapped for cash.

Now. As it stands right now you'll probably see some digs at people tomorrow, some speculations of my own. Some thoughts on marketability and producers,nuns,breasts, Hantavirus etc. etc.

And David Bowie. I can't forget about David Bowie.

Trust me though, it will all tie into something cohesive.
