did anybody notice when a male PC kiss Morrigan, her eyes are open. But when you kiss Leliana her eyes are closed.

The kissing is way better for sure, although the way Morrigan never closes her eyes is a tiny bit creepy. Dead on for the character, of course. =D

As for the sex scenes...one thing they did right in ME was the sex scenes.

Agreed, they manage to do the nudity (not full frontal) and it has some atmosphere. DA sex scenes have a weird celtic vibe to htem and granny underwear+ ridiculous expressions, which makes them more humorous imo.

Hahaha granny underwear,  it was awful. I remember that scene in Fort Drakon where Alistair and the Warden are both naked. Such a turn off!

Well, technically you can get that Natural Bodies mod. It made the love scenes much less awkward.

1) Without the mod, I'd say the kissing wins, especially if Morrigan's in the party to watch. Even though we're like sisters, hey, I still like tormenting her a teeny bit (she can't stand Alistair).
2) With the mod...I found the tent scene with Alistair, umm, acceptable. Kissing is generally better though.

One, right, during one of the conversations. But Morrigan, you can kiss any time you want, which generates some amusing comments from other companions. Leliana, you only kiss her when you ask her to bed, there isn't a generic "kiss her" option that is available at any time once the romance is started.

actually I agree. The kissing seems tender and sweet. Where the sex scenes seeme wooden and/or awkward (kind of like real life haha- jk)

So I'm a guy in RL, and I am trying to do all the romance scenes. I gigle non-stop for most of them, but always smile at the kissing scenes. So yes, I like the kissing ones more. With Morrigan it is soft and sensual (good character development having her eyes open). With Alistair you can sense the nervousness as he kind of lunges in, but apparently the female character likes it because she then goes all out.



All the scenes (whether kissing or sex) have some character to them, but I just feel the kissing ones are better.

I like both the kissing scene and the sex scene (have only seen it with Alistair). The only thing I don't like in the sex scene is the very ugly and unsexy underwear Alistair is wearing! lol (But like I told my boyfriend it could have been worse - do you remember the swimming suit Borat was wearing ? lol That would kill any sexy time!)



Anyway I think the scene was well done because it looked sweet and hot enough but without showing the lowest parts... I was just surprised that the women had their bras on, especially since the game is rated for 18+ (have to say I don't get where this rating comes from? The blood? Some shooters are way more gore...), this is very surprising.

I thought the sex scenes where decent, if nothing special, the first time. But they get worse when you play the game more times. The more times you see them, the more awkward it gets sort of. You just start noting more and more awkward things about them. I also think it's a bit of a downer that Morrigan and Leliana have the exact same scene.

The kissing works much better I think, but I wish they would sometimes close their eyes when they kiss. Seeing the girl kiss with open eyes makes it feel less intense somehow. I start wondering if she is just faking it...

I thought the sex scenes (and quite a few other scenes besides, in fact the entire game at times) drove straight into Uncanny Valley  (<= Warning! TVtropes linkage!!).

Kissing was pretty sweet. I didn't know that the "main romance NPCs" got a kiss at any time option - wish Leliana had that.

The sex scenes were ok (a bit less awkward with a nutural bodies mod installed) but some of the experssions were hillarious (such as the male PC's expersion when Morrigan/Leliana is on top, priceless experssion )

But yeah, the kissing seemed more natural, and ME's scenes seemed more polished in the end

It'd be fun to torture Oghren with it. Two male elves making out in front of him would probably make his head asplode. Normally he leers and has that really seedy laugh if the warden's in a heterosexual romance, plus a wink-wink conversation, but if it's a male/male romance...

The article was interesting, thanks for the link. Do you mean that by trying to do a too realistic relationship including sex, they kinda kill the realism of it because the sex scene doesn't look right enough?

Actually, I considered this scene kinda like tender "preliminaries", thinking that we were free to imagine the rest of the night (and we don't need to seethe rest). I found this scene with Alistair quite cute actually.

No, you can only see it once... Afterwards you just see the PC and him kiss but not what happens further...

So far I've only romanced the boys, but I must admit I look forward to the kissing more then the sex. Too bad you can't kiss Zev though, and here I was still waiting for the option to pop up.
