If you think kissing is more rewarding than the sex, yes because for kissing, you don't actually see them kiss. They will move in such a way that the camera is facing the back of your head, leaving it to your imagination. That makes it somehow more realistic because it leaves room for imagination.

The sex was just horrible, awkward and creepy.

The sex scenes are like watching two LEGO people roll around trying to grope each other, but they can't because they don't have enough joints in their skeleton.  (See Below)



The kissing seemed sweet and affectionate, and not quite so rigid.

Kissing scenes very very well done, the sexy time scenes... well, lets just say un-natural elongated somewhat pointy, gravity defying boobies took the mood away for me.

The sex reminds me too much of Team America, so yes, the kissing is better. It's actually sweet and tender. Unless Alistair forgets to take his helmet off..

No, I mean they tried for realism in the character models and animations and failed abysmally. I find the "realistic" approach almost always backfires. Until computer technology is good enough to exactly replicate reality (well those elements of reality that translate over, since I don't think I've ever met a dragon in real life ), sticking to a more cartoony/animatedy approach will always work better, IMHO.

For example, when Leliana is singing - try watching her. Not only did her facial expressions and lip movements not synch up with the song, but there was something so very plastic about it all. My eyes kept sliding off the screen because my brain just had problems processing it. It wasn't helped by the fact that the singer doing the singing had a very different voice to the actor doing the voice acting. It just seemed farcical. It worked much better for me when I wasn't watching the screen.

Actually, I considered this scene kinda like tender "preliminaries", thinking that we were free to imagine the rest of the night (and we don't need to seethe rest). I found this scene with Alistair quite cute actually.

I wonder how different the animations are between each sex scene? The animations for Female PC and Leliana weren't all that realistic (at least compared to my experience), and I wonder if the animator did any research on the art of lesbian sex at all? They seemed kind of generic actions, with a few that looked suspiciously like male/female sex. I get the impression they used the same animations for both genders with her. I guess that's the price we pay for Leliana not being a Major NPC (as Alistair and Morrigan are).

Maybe one day our potential same sex (bisexual) love interest(s) will be Main NPC(s), and the exclusively het ones will be relegated to supporting NPC role. Honestly, the bisexual love interests have the potential to reach far more players than the exclusively het ones. But I'll stop before I start ranting. :happy:

The sex scenes are pretty bad, I have to admit. Kissing scenes are at least believable to an extent.
Morrigan's first kiss is pretty cool too.

The love scenes at camp look kind of strange. Aside from the underwear, it seems like they are outside by the fire at first, then briefly in the tent. Wouldn't everyone see them outside like that?

Yep, I agree there were serious issues with her face when the singing was done. As I told my boyfriend, she should have open her mouth way wider at some points to be able to sing like this, her mouth rather moved as if she was just talking by moments, or low singing... And yes, I didn't find the singing voice to be matching her speaking voice totally.

But apart from some scenes like this, I really like the way the characters are done. One other note is that, at some point, the lack of tears had me mis-interpret some dialogs: I mean, for example, basically, when you speak to Isolde when her son his possessed, I thought her lament sounded false and that she was faking, then I remembered character couldn't actually cry. 


I think I read that the animation for the sex scenes are exactly the same whatever the 2 characters' gender. I wasn't shocked (except from the ugly male underwears lol) by the way the male/female scene is done but it's the only one I saw so far.

Lol, true, looks like they're not inside the tent at all! Some in the group would probably be glad to watch but I don't believe my PC would appreciate that lol!

That is pretty awkward to think about, getting it on right by the firepit in the very center of camp.

And where's Oghren through all of this? Is he outside, watching intensely? 

Or is he in his tent having private alone time?

Either way, you don't want to think about it.
