Since day one i have been experiencing random freezing of the system in multiplayer. (wasn't too frequent so it didn't bother me too much)
Now any time i try to play campain or multiplayer, i find that the game freezes within the first 5 minutes, and i have to manually shut the system off and sit throught the "resotring system" process every time. The game, all the sudden, is unplayable. i baby all of my electronics. the disk is still in its original condition. (no scratches or smudges) Its not the system, since other games run perfectly fine. i'm really not sure what to do here. any advise will be helpful.
I have the 160g uncharted version. my lady has a slim, so maybe i should try pulling up my data on hers to see if it makes a difference.

if there are no solutions, i would like some kind of compensation for time and money spent on a product that is defective.
i can deal with the poor ending, the random slow frame rate, and even the occasional freezing, but i can't even get anything to work now.
i thoroughly enjoy this game, but if i can't play it, i don't want it.

I find going into ps3 safe mode to be the best solution assuming your hdd is corrupt that will gelp u out but in all honesty this game needs to be fixed bad as its real messed up. It wont fix your problem but it will help out. Pm me if you dont know how to get into ps3 safe mode

i'll try it when i get home, a litte bit later. i've never ran my PS3 in safe mode, but i can "google" it, if i can't figure it out. thanks for the advice. hopefully it helps, somewhat.
