Heard about it, but it seems it was actually technical mishaps, since the trees are the same we get once the dad speak with his child about "the Shepard".
I didn't want to fully believe on IT until the Extended Cut comes out, but seeing how many thing Bioware "dropped" through the game about Indoctrination clues, it makes me love this game. Even if they deny the IT, I will still believe in it, as it makes me love this game.
This game is full of some of the freakiest sh#t I have ever heard in a video game, check out the sounds in the dream sequence
Every where feels creepy in this game, especially the normandy. I feel like I am constantly being watched.
Wow, nice one, I will really listen to those dream sequences the next time I go through them. This ambiance is definitely creepy, especially the last seconds. (after 3:19)

I am beginning to think the same as well I have to admit. Still intrigued by the EC, but the IT is really interesting.
I'm now examining the Normandy palm by palm with my headphones at full volume trying to find strange things and noises. For the moment, EDI's CPU room has a very creepy sound, but seems to be the server's sound.
I don't remember when in the game I heard noises/voices but I DID hear laughing (If I remember correctly it was like a little kid laughing)...I thought I was just paranoid but apparently not.

No, theyre not, they change depending on what choices you have available. If it was asset reuse and laziness there would only be one cubemap, not 3 different ones that trigger depending on your EMS.
I hope IT is true but I don`t hear the noises just me but I WANT IT
On what platform are you playing? I've played on PC and PS3, and have to say that on PS3 is where I hear the creepy sounds clearlier. On PC it sounds lower and sometimes the ambience sound gets suddenly cut.

I hear the kid's laughing in the right corridor of Garru's calibrations room. But the first time I heard it I though that was a cry.

This is literally the creepiest **** I have EVER. EVER HEARD.
EDIT - Okay, the reaper version of the kid's laugh!? I'm DYING RIGHT NOW, I have goosebumps from all Hell. This seems like definitive proof to me that the dreams sequences were intended to follow the indoctrination theme. Not that I ever doubted that; indoctrination has been the singular most central theme throughout the entire series, but who could dispute this!? I'm going to go rock back and forth in the fetal position for a while.

Still not sure about that, to me it seems like a graphical glitch, and they only trigger differently because of the actual scenery. Not sure, but it seems weirdly implemented to be an actual clue.

I think I was in Shep's quarters when I heard the kid. That was the only time I ever heard something like that and it really freaked me out (I was playing at night with my headphones on )

I see your reaper noises and give you every background from the dream sequences, including the lines you hear from dead squadmates without any of the reverb
Also note that there is a substantial hum in shepard's cabin at ~40Hz, right on the bottom end of what most consumer speakers/headphones will produce properly, which may be worth noting. There's nothing sounding like people in the main normandy sounds folder, but they can call from other sounds, so it's possible they're calling from something in the dream sequences (have a look at the video I linked above)

Mh, I heard this hum, but I thought it was mostly ambiant, and never heard a laugh by Shepard's cabin, but I guess I wasn't really paying attention too.

This documentary pretty much sums it up, nothing about the noises on the normandy tho.
That's not the only thing he missed either, do you guys know about the tree reflections in the Catalyst chamber?
The tree reflections really aren't that big of a deal as far as I'm concerned. What is a big deal, is the music. There's that "angelic choir" from the dreams, that synth appears in exactly five scenes in the entire game:
-Dream 1 -Dream 2 -Dream 3 -When Shepard gets hit by harbinger's laser -The final "choice" sequence

Are these legitimately the cube maps? The last one seems super low-res.
Yeah, you can get away with low-res reflections usually and not too many people notice, it's become more and more of a common GPU-saving activity trying to get shinier games to run on aging 360/ps3 hardware.
Doing a thing for an indie game dev at the moment, and we've had to cut our cubemaps down from 1536x1536 all the way to 512x512.
