you need to alter the script that rules Word of Changing.

edit polymorph.2da - you can review kaedrins content which has improved versions of the same.

Not sure what you are after, thinking you are not sure either, but you probably just need to spend some time reviewing nwn2wiki, and researching how the current spells are set up.
spells.2da does the spells, impact script column of that holds the name of the script you need to review. You edit spells with the toolset, open conversation/script menu item in toolset lets you search all the games scripts by name. ( Also the name and description are set by numbers refering to dialog.tlk which holds these, or via a custom.tlk )
Appearance of demon is set in appearance.2da.
Polymorph.2da refers to a blueprint, and adjusts stats, blueprint has the actual appearance as defined in appearance.2da chosen from a pull down menu.
You edit blueprints in the toolset, utc files are creature blueprints. Resref being the name of the file prior to the utc, but if you are in the toolset you use the blueprints tab to adjust these. ( right click to make a copy to work with )
When a script is open, you can look up the games constants for the script editor which refer to line numbers in each 2da file. Open up the script and ensure script assist is on, then enter what you are looking for on the right side. You should see the script for word of changing uses constants for the row in spells.2da as well as polymorph.2da.
if you have questions on the details, nwn2wiki ( http://nwn2.wikia.com/wiki/Main_Page ) has references for a lot of the 2da files and what the columns mean, and what the file types are. There are tutorials on how to script on the vault as well, and other places ( the scripting forum here has a thread with scripting resources ).
You need to trace out how things work with the spell you modifying, and also review another spell that does summoning, but just using the open convo/script menu item in the toolset should be enough for you to find what you need to accomplish this.
