Door-Glitch in FBW? How long has this been going on and is it considered cheating?

It has to do with either a broken seam in the map, or a mistake in marking out-of-bounds zones. If you get downed and fall out of any map, it will respawn you at the drop-off point. I've had it happen once or twice on FB:W, but also once on Ghost; just the way I ragdoll'd managed to drop me out of the map and I found myself at the spawnpoint.

I'm sure if you're not abusing it intentionally, it'll be fine. I'm not entirely sure if they can detect that though.

I've actually had this happen to me in the room itself on FBW and not just at the door area. I went down near the door, but not actually at the seem, laid there long enough for someone to start to revive me and then bam, falling through the world and respawning at the landing pad. Kinda wished they'd fix it since I have a tendency to run through that door quite a bit to grab ammo during firefights, and when playing a squishy character I don't want to worry about mishaps involving glitches.

That's exploiting. My opinion is that Bioware can't ban people for this since this is a bug/glitch and they are responsible to fix any bug or glitch within the game. Their turn to drink more coffee.

That's not an "opinion"- that's simply being wrong.

They most certainly CAN ban people for exploiting this bug/glitch. It's in the ToS. If you intentionally keep doing this, you are VERY much subject to punishment by Bioware.

I've unintentionally done it. It is when I'm doing FBWGG unfortunately. On my end it's mainly due to lag and trying to run away from enemies and I think I'm further than I end up being.

Getting killed is cheating? I think I've now heard everything.

Knowingly standing in that one glitched area so that you always respawn back at the LZ when you die and never have to use Medi-gels? Yes, that's cheating. If it just happens a few times in your game then whatever, but you can't just exploit it.

It's an okay sniping spot. Not the best, not the worst. There are plenty of others around it. But they're only "punishing" ( ie making them NOT snipe in that ONE spot ) a few who snipe, not every single sniper, and taking advantage of a glitch is still taking advantage of a glitch.

If they dont want people doing it they should fix it but I doubt that will happen

You and I have already had this EXACT discussion, at least two or three times. You already know why that's not a viable argument for not punishing players, so please don't repeat this crap all over again.

No I will repeat it because it needs to be said these issues have been known since launch yet they still arent fixed spend less time banning and more time fixing especially since for each patch they have to pay ms money so wouldnt it make more sense to make sure their patches do what they are supposed to

Does anyone else wind up glitches under the landing zone, completely breaking the game, or does the game just particularly hate me?

It's happened to me from time to time. Though in terms of exploiting it, I've found it's often actually disadvantageous as you will often find yourself completely surrounded when respawning at the LZ. I usually find myself wishing I had just been downed so one of my teammates could have easily revived me instead.

Alright. Just go ahead and skip EVERYTHING we already said in this thread then. Unless you have something new to suddenly add, I'm not going over this again. It's dumb.

It's only cheating if they refuse or are incapable of fixing ive noticed.

Why not just fix it?

Its like they gave up... Like Shepard in SP.

People shouldnt cheat intentionally but remember all of these things were dicovered by accident by people who werent trying to cheat. After some time, it really is BW fault for not fixing these things.

How would you even abuse something like that? Intentionally die? In just the right spot?
Jeez..I'm trying too hard to intentionally live.

Oh, and there's a place on Ghost that's like that as well...one second getting stuck by a Phantom, next second falling, falling, falling, off the map and then poof..in the LZ...alive!

I didn't die, but somehow with the Phoenix Vanguard, glitched through the floor, and rode the waterfall on Jade, only to be put back in the LZ.  But yeah, generally my plan is to try to not die....not plan where to die.

I know he is  people need to complain and call bioware on these bugs otherwise if everyone is quite they will never get fixed

It's not such a bad thing though.

It's usually way too cumbersome to really be an effective tactic. It's actually easier to play 'fair', so not really such a big exploit.

It's a bug in the game. Exploiting a bug is a bannable offense. It's in the ToS.

Until they say it's not a bannable offense, every player should err on the side of caution and just assume it is. Because, by definition, it is.
