I also used Garrus and Wrex. In 2, I just stuck to Grunt and Legion.

Whats funny is in 2 as soon as I had Grunt it was Garrus and Grunt the entire time.

3 it's back to Garrus and Liara.

I'd agree with you if the effects weren't still being felt in the present day.

The thing is, Tali's incessant whining tends to be undercut by the fact that the Quarians both 1) created the Geth, and 2) were the agressors in the Morning War. The Quarians sort of earned their fate.

Sex appeal is part of what makes her awesome. I'm fairly certain that if there was a female romance option in the game that was 5'6 and 320 lbs, with a face that looked like it hopped out of a potato sack, that no one would romance that character except for the lulz.

All the female romance options are being chosen at least in part, because their fans find the character model attractive.

At first i didnt care about liara but man has she grown on me, esp. since shadow broker, one of my favs {though ashley will always be my main girl}...what i DONT get is all the love for garrus and tali...i mean, theyre alright but seriously, not near the best characters

Garrus I just find unforgivably boring. I suppose Tali is "moe," but her voice is irritating, to be honest.

I liked Liara in ME1 and ME2, but I really hated her in ME3. The reason why is that her personality really changed, for the worse, I feel. She seemed detatched to Shephard and the things he was feeling, until the time in which, it seemed, the writers thought it was time to show something. I just can think of so many times she should have reacted with concern or said something but instead reacted with a dead stare and unfeeling eyes. She just seemed cold to me, and even when my Shepherd declared his love for her she seemed to be aloof. I don't know why, because she seems to be the LI that the developers devoted the most attention to, but they seemed to drop the ball on her.

Tali is by far the most overrated character in the entire series. While I wouldn't go so far to say that she's the least interesting character, she isn't worth all the fan hype she gets either. She was a walking codex entry in Mass Effect 1 and the Jacob of that game. In ME2 and ME3 she got better treatment from the wrtiers and more character development, but I'd still rank her in the middle of the pack somewhere.
